This has to be one of the best produced business news programs in my lifetime. I personally have watched the program since it’s inception. Thank you Bill and Sue for anchoring this final year. Your objectivity and honesty over the years has maintained the shows credibility and appeal. I hope the next chapter of reporting by CNBC can continue to meet the bar set by this endeavor.

Just found this program in 2019 and very disappointed to see it cancelled. The best business reporting without the dramatic garbage that so many news syndicates thrive off of. I really enjoyed getting my news from NBR. Maybe the ratings weren't great which wouldn't surprise me since the average individual thrives off dramatic, emotionally infused garbage today. Well wishes to Bill and Sue, down to earth likeable anchors.

This was the show I turned to, along with the calming presence of Louis Rukeyser's "Wall Street Week" every Friday evening on PBS. But, I had forgotten about NBR for many years until just now - only to learn of its demise. Times have changed, and investment information is now more widely available for commoners. I still value market analysis by (now with Charles Schwab) Liz Ann Sonders, who was a regular guest of Rukeyser.

Thanks to CNBC PBS WETA and American Public Television for quite an accomplishment to end a near 41 year run on the air, and for Bill Griffeth and Sue Herrera, we do wish them the best of goodbyes. Painful to watch this final show from CNBC wrapping up the end of this decade and the end of this television era in consumer-friendly nightly business broadcast reports during the workweek. Whenever there was a financial crisis over the years it was always assuring to tune-in to get the skinny from the financial professionals. Paul, Suzie, Tyler, Bill, and Sue have all been great and will certainly be well remembered. What made this show so great was the quality of free information as broadcast on PBS in a cable-tv subscriber format and free of commercial interruptions. Truly, win-win-win.

I came to NBR during the dot-com burst. NBR was the only news I could find that wasn't trying to fear-monger me into thinking the world was ending. I spent the remainder of that decade casually watching the show, blissfully unaware of the next far-larger bubble we were living through. The great recession turned me into a five night a week watcher. The condensed, level-headed reporting of NBR is what I found most valuable - I was never left feeling I was being manipulated as a viewer. I'll miss having you guys around; it'll be a difficult task to find a replacement for you guys. Good luck with your next adventure.

The news that this is the last broadcast of NBR is seriously disturbing. I have learned much about finance and the economy watching this show. Perhaps more importantly, discussions related to presidential and national politics are anchored to objective developments and reactions in the world economy. This honesty and objectivity have been absent, and without an anchor for years in the other mainline news coverage. I sincerely hope that the removal of NBR is not designed to further cheat the American people of honest journalism before the upcoming election. Please do not end NBR!

I've been watching this broadcast since it's first year. My dad turned me on to NBR and Wall $treet Week as a young man. At the time these were the only TV shows that covered finance and the markets. We will just have to watch old NBR business shows , to “re-inform” ourselves of the myriads business stories and themes , that this NBR expose for us , through the years ! Unfortunately, this is a reflection of the dumbing down of the American people , as the American society is watching every stupid and nonsensical show and so forth , instead of immersing itself in such informative and educational shows , like NBR ! I want to say goodbye to my digital NBR tribe ! @@christinecarlino3406 Thank you for the info link. After reading, seems as I thought, the show was sold to private owners. So, PBS stopped funding. The private owners then resold it (likely for a nice profit), and the newest owners cut costs further. Then again resold (likely for a nice profit). Rinse & repeat until probably too much debt added in, due to aquisitions and not enough expenses left to cut, to fund the debt used for the layers of prior aquisition costs.
