Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well! This commission took me quite a while to get done, but that's just because I couldn't get myself together to draw the armor ... In the end though, I did, and oh MAN I had fun with this one! Besides art block kicking my butt, adding so much detail to a drawing was very therapeutic (and also mildly frustrating)!
I very much enjoyed creating this design, and I very much look forward to working on more like this! For now, I don't plan to make the other Villains' redesigns unless they're commissioned! Throughout the process of this drawing I listened to a compilation of the backrooms & I'm totally hooked now... should I make fan-art of it?
That being said, I hope you all like the finished result of this speedpaint as much I do, please leave your thoughts in case you're feeling up to it! ♥️

I absolutely love it. Her armor being somewhere in between alien mec and gothic cathedral helps making her look both like a mysterious warrior and the ethereal goddess I think she's supposed to embody in the show.

Ironically, my favorite characters of MLP were either Princess Luna or Nightmare Moon. I loved this redesign of her. The passion that was poured into this is phenomenal! But, what can I say? This is Blits, after all! Every single thing she draws is a work of art. Thank you for being in our lives, Blits. We love you ❤

(Attention: I translate with the help of an interpreter, there may be errors) I like the series about little horses not only because of the main characters, their stories, character, psychological problems and so on. Antagonists also play a big role. Nightmare Moon is the first opponent of Twilight and her friends. The very essence of the existence of this character amazes me. It's amazing both externally and internally. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Nightmare Moon (like many antagonists of My Little Pony) is very underestimated, because if the Six failed to defeat her, she could become truly the MAIN nightmare of Equestria. Despite admiration for this character, your redesign literally KILLED me. I imagined Nightmer Moon exactly the way you did it. A powerful deity in the form of a horse who succumbed to dark forces rose from the starry sky and subdued all of Equestria, giving it as a tribute to darkness. Your art is stunning, and I saw something more in the Queen of Moons and Stars. You are an amazing artist. With my rather extensive drawing experience, I would not be able to SO STRONGLY convey all the feelings, mental wounds, a damn beautiful image. I'm just fucking incredibly delighted with your work. This is so cool! She definitely looks like a nightmare alien who came from the moon. I also love how she looks a bit more dragon like with the wings and tail. Though I am glad Nightmare moon looks like the way she is. Imagine trying to animate THIS

She's absolutely fantastic! It's just that, her armor is a bit TOO detailed/heavy. It looks like it would pinch every time she would take a step. Other then that... stunning as always!

I love the armor. I swear it makes me think of enchanting my armor with thorns in Minecraft. Its so spikey. But I love the design in between the armor. Like, is it meant to resemble fishnet stockings? That's what it reminds me of. Or chainmail maybe?
