I met Robert Englund at Flash Back Weekend this year. After all these years, and telling all the fans the same story his charisma is still there. He's still so passionate about his work its incredible. He's also a super nice guy. We talked about how he ruined sausage pizza for me when I was younger and he ended up telling me the whole story about filming that day.

John Saxon is a very underrated actor. Whenever I see him as Nancy's dad I forget that i'm watching the same actor who played a martial artist in Enter The Dragon with Bruce Lee.

The part of Freddy Vs Jason where he cuts of the girls nose and it doesn't translate into reality can probably be explained by Freddy's weakened power.

I'd have sworn that Freddy himself actually says as much in the movie.
@sperrin6 жыл бұрын
Except the difference is that when Freddy is weak and shown as much in the film, he can't hurt anyone - even in their dreams. By the time the nose thing happens, its quite clear Freddy is not weak anymore.

I just assume at this point his power is still very inconsistent and unreliable. Been a while since I seen the movie though.

Kind of a random fun fact; the girl who gets her nose ripped off is Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child. This was apparently during the period when she was trying to branch out into movies like Beyonce did. It didn't work out quite as well for her.

I remember John Saxon being my SECOND favorite character in Bruce Lee's "Enter The Dragon" (1973)... He played "Roper", a degenerate gambler that entered the martial arts tournament on Han's island. His wisecracks and sarcasm was appealing to me even in my childhood years. And the irony of HIM being the one to beat "Bolo" (Han's right-hand bodyguard), really solidified HIM as being my next to favorite guy in that whole movie!!😁👍

Fun Fact: There actually was a playable demo game of sorts called Nightmare on Elm St. 4: The Dream Master released by a company called the Unicorn Corporation based in the Netherlands. They sold magazines from 1989-1993 and in those magazines were floppy demo disks of upcoming games. In the July 1990 edition they had a floppy disk that had: graphic scenes, a playable demo of "zapping" Freddy with a beam of light, and music all from the movie. Although not really a full game, it's still pretty interesting. The company also did one for Total Recall and Terminator 2: Judgement Day in 1992.

Also I love the way they mixed things up with Freddy, he's kind of like a good midpoint between Micheal Myers and Jason Jason is essentially little more than an animal, who kills based on instinct rather than personal enjoyment, so you could argue he's not evil, Micheal is Pure Evil who kills without any reason or justification, he just kills cause he can. Freddy is the inbetween, he kills pretty much anyone like Micheal but does so for the sick enjoyment of it. Nice contrast.
@trustmeits610pm26 жыл бұрын
Oh I don't know if there's absolutely no mind being Jason's actions. Sometimes his kills have a kind of deliberate irony to them. He doesn't always simply hack people apart. There's a mind there. He's just not a longterm planner. Freddy really is a unique horror movie villain. Not because of his powers, but because he has a personality. Freddy loves what he does. He's laughing and joking the whole way through. Most movie monsters/killers are the freakin' Terminator. Stone faced killing machines on a mission. Freddy though? Freddy is having a good time.

How about Michael Myers vs. the Silver Shamrock robots? (Seriously, what's the problem? BOTH sets of characters were created by the same people). We could even have a plot where both the Silver Shamrock company and Myers's cult are trying to sacrifice millions of children---but for entirely different reasons. And the only way to stop them is to get the cult--with Michael--and the company--with the robots--to fight each other. And the only way to do THAT is by having Dr. Loomis and Dr. Challis join forces!

This still is my favorite of the 80's horror series.. Always felt Freddy was scarier than the rest... The puppet kill from the 3rd movie gave me sooo many nightmares as a child...

The original ending for Freddy Vs Jason with pinhead sounds actually amazing to me, and Although I think the Ending we have now is pretty good and In character for both Freddy and Jason in my opinion, The originally planned ending sounds much better.

That scene with the spikes is my favorite Nightmare moment. When Freddy looks at the camera and laughs, I die every time.

I know Frederick is coming to Dead By Daylight, but it still amazes me why nobody made a current-gen "Nightmare on Elm Street" game. It's perfect video game fodder. You could use the Resident Evil / Evil Within formula to great effect, with the constant fear that Freddy's stalking you, ready to jump out at you from any corner.
@Rogu754 жыл бұрын
A Nightmare on Elm Street game with a more Survival Horror formula like R.E and Evil Within... I would so play that. I loved The Evil Within 2 a ton. For now though, we can be happy with big boi Freddy in Dead by Daylight. The remake surely made him a scary killer. And I guess it's more than enough.

The kill where the girl is slashed while she’s on the ceiling and there’s crazy amounts of blood. It’s the coolest kill in horror movie history.

I love Freddy's Dead. I think it's the continuation of 2 where he is still in control at the end. It was all a dream and then he slowly killed off all the children in the town which is where 5 kicks off.
