Finally Merrin! Our favorite Nightsister has been long overdue, and I wanted to give my own take on her character arc through the series so far. Most of her emotional journey runs parallel to Cal's, both being survivors of their own fallen orders; we just don't get to see as much of hers. Kudus to Tina Ivlev for a powerful performance.

The dark side is not evil. It's power. The Sith are slaves to the darkness. They're slaves to their greed, their hatred, and their pain. It will always control them. But the Nightsisters are the master of their darkness. Merrin uses it without succumbing to it. Her pain is part of her, but it does not control her.

There are opposites like death and birth, active and passive, aggression and mercy that are all a fact of life and must occur naturally to be balance, but that doesn't mean *excessive* violence or consumption is equally valid. And typically aggressive (yang) traits ARE evil when taken too far. No more incompetent Americans trying to explain philosophy they can't understand. Stop using Palpatine's snake tongue to justify your obsessive hate of morals/ bad behavior/ whatever you're defending.

This guys "philosophy" is why abusers and dictators can get away with stuff. It's more mature to accept that reality is harsh, and some stuff is just wrong.

I love everything about this! She is such an amazing character, and I love how you juxtaposed her with all of the different villains who are consumed by their rage or fear. Dagan, Taron, Vader, Bode. That was really cool to see. I liked the addition of Grievous in there too. Very fitting. I just really hope that she and cal, and the rest of their family will be able to outlast the empire and be together. If Jedi 3 goes any other way, I might just have to use the dark side 😅😭

It's easy to forget Merrin was technically a villan for part of FO, and Cal was very willing to fight her if needed. Her arc in Survivor seems to indicate that she's moved past most of her anger/fear, but she's also lost just as much as Cal. Big fan of this crew and definitely want to see them survive through the trilogy!

Shit I love them so much, what a adorable legend couple in Star Wars history! Can'r wait to play the 3rd Jedi game, I'm so appreciated for these cutscenes you edit, you deserve more viewers and subscribers, and ofc, I hope Merrin and Cal deserve a good ending.

As usual this is pretty darn great. GreatYour use of the free camera to capture moments that would otherwise be hard to portray, was particularly m neet. Also, everything from the drop at 2:49 drop till the end was a series of rapidfire chills.

Another great video. I heard some dialogue I've never heard before. I don't think I used to spend enough time having Cal engage with everyone. Started doing it in Survivor after a few playthroughs and even then I found new things. Will have to do that again in Fallen Order next time I play.

There's an incredible amount of voice lines in these games, definitely a labor of love. For reference, Merrin has about 15 min of dialogue in FO and almost 49 min in Survivor. Adds a lot of replayability!

They were! Merrin has a lot of side dialogue in both games that can be missed. Her monologue at 3:26 is actually from FO but lines up perfectly with where the story goes in Survivor

Someone in here has a phone number or an email address to an editor that can set this animatedjen on the path toward making more of these. If I had money, i would invest it here. I've never seen this kind of unknown talent before. This is the early stage of someone who will be very popular one day soon. If you're in the business of video editing, BUY. Buy this person out. This is a golden goose.

Thanks for the encouragement 💛 I do work as a freelance commercial editor, but these videos have been a fun (if not time consuming) passion project this year. Would love to someday work officially with EA/Respawn on something for the Jedi series, who knows
