One of Tuomas' and Nightwish's most gentle and emotional songs, and we get to see Troy performing on his Irish Bouzouki, yet another instrument of which he is a master. Seriously, he could play just about anything, including the box it came in! He is also a serious orchestral composer! Would you believe that this is Floor Jansen struggling to sing? She was getting over a bad cold and could barely speak, but throat lozenges and determination saw her through! I see Xabier has already explained the song, and it is one which is deeply personal by Tuomas. Hmm, I wonder if going without the blue wig will allow you to windmill given the right song? Great reaction to this song though, and yes, it is a real teary one, and if it moves you that way, don't be afraid to show it. We've all been there. I'm a 58 (nearly 59) year old metalhead, and it wets my cheeks every time, along with a bunch of other Nightwish songs. Tuomas is a master pf putting emotion into songs, and Floor is the best at channelling it I have ever heard.

I suggest 3 of the band's most powerful performances: "shudder before the beautiful" from the 2015 London Wembley Arena concert, "weak fantasy "from the 2015 concert in tampere and last but not least "sahara" live in tampa again in 2015

Yes I enjoyed this video. Way better than the others. You really connected to this one. Next ones: - "She Is My Sin" (Wacken 2013). Similar to "Everdream". - "Nemo". You've got a music video, live performances with both Tarja and Floor, and a gorgeous acoustic one with just Floor and Troy. - "Élan". Again, nice music video and live performances (only with Floor).

The "Dead Boy" is Tuomas. Band leader, composer of the vast majority of Nightwish music... He refers to himself as the "Dead Boy" in song many times. Very fitting actually! As a grown man and artist, He retains the youthful dreams of childhood in a sense, and has also out grown his youth and innocence... The "innocent boy" may be gone, but the wonder and joy of life is yet to be fully discovered! Peter Pan in a way! Keep rocking!

The Dead Boy is Tuomas, the innocent young boy he once was before he looses his naively life by the prior Tarja debacle. When everything was still fine like he was in the ‘Meadows of Heaven’. Before he had crossed the ‘Gost River’ into the cruel world of adulthood. And he also did not experienced that the love you once had could be only a ‘Ghost Love’. Now he could look back and and forward to see live how it is ment to be: one big mysterious Score, as one big journey and challenge to find your destination.

Gracie, we have now watched three of your reactions to our favorite band and we've loved them all. This reaction is great!! We are now subscribers so we can join you on your Nightwish journey. By the way, it is normal to shed a tear or even a stream of tears with this band, and especially Floor. We have a favorite that we would like to see you react to called "7 Days to the Wolves" at Wembley Arena 2015. Here is the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtyjmdpytci7iJc.html We know you are going to love this. Stay safe and enjoy the ride from the high desert of southeast Arizona, USA

Hi Gracie ! As noone else has mentioned it yet: Here you see a new drummer. His name is Kai Hahto. Jukka had to retire because of health issues (insomnia) and was followed by his good friend Kai. Jukka is still with the band, working in the management. I would suggest a reaction to a "warm up" by Kai !!! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aamKjMuAnNy-nKM.html We all still miss Jukka, drumming with his whole soul, but NW didnt make a bad change ! ;-)

@@GracieReacts This song is about a young boy who is misunderstood. He never has had anyone close or anyone at all to talk to, so his music is what he lives for and is where he puts his feelings. His music gives him the push to keep on living and he puts everything into it. He tries to improve his life but whatever he does, he can never get back to the way he used to be. He says that people shouldn't ask for a better world because the world has already been made and been done. It is a lonely world and this is his bitter farewell.,,,,,, And no we would not kill you.
