She killed it for the entirity of that Wacken 2013 concert. Every damn song, for close to 2 hours. Next up Romanticide from that very same concert, a more harder side of the band, and her as well :P ANd yep she brought the house down with that Floorgasm indeed, hence from that day onwards the festival was known as Wacken Open Air ever since :P (j/k ofc)

Welcome to the Nightwish train, there's lot's to see! Everything from Wacken (It's German, pronounced Vocken) 2013 is all gold. This performance is their current singer Floor but they've had 2 other singers in the past. from 1996 to 2005 their singer was Tarja (j is pronounced as a y) and from 2007 to 2012 their singer was Anette. Tarja was pure opera vocals Anette was more rock and roll and pop vocals, she could belt and was talented but couldn't do the operatic classical stuff. Floor is well rounded and can do several styles. If you wanna check out Tarja try Phantom of the Opera live, if you wanna see Anette I recommend Bye Bye Beautiful or Amaranth. If you wanna see something a bit heavier try out Yours is an Empty Hope from the nightwish cruise, Romanticide or Ghost River from Wacken 2013. If you wanna see the epic stuff try Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley and/or Greatest Show on Earth from Tampere.

If you want to see something in a totally different direction,, check out Romanticide (official live from Nuclear Blast Records). It's from the same Waken 2013 concert and shows a heavier side of Nightwish. They have all kinds of songs and sounds. They've been around since 1996 and are still going strong. They're making a new album right now in fact and plan a world tour following it's release. Dang, I wasn't really familiar with Slipknot but that's pretty intense stuff and he does have a cool voice.

The bull head on fire is the symbol for the Waken festival. Waken is the biggest Metalfest in the world (still I believe) which takes place in Germany. "Waken" being a German word is pronounced "Va - Ken" (pretty much)

So glad you enjoyed Nightwish. Just fair warning. At 14 minutes plus, Poet and the pendulum and at 20 minutes plus, greatest show on earth are very lengthy ( very worth it but just getting it out there for your planning purposes) So here's a few that are shorter: Romanticide, Bye Bye Beautiful, Wishmaster, Amaranth, Phantom of the opera, The Islander, Wish I had an Angel. ( I've also tried to include some from each singer, including Marco, too. ) and the pharoah sails to Orion which featured another growler type named Tapio Wilska. Thanks :)

The Whole point of the video in Devil in I is overcoming your fears and pushing forward. They lost their best mate and so they made this song to overcome that and anything else they needed to. The reason each of them dies is that it's their devil and fears of death. The two being stabbed are the new guys replacing old, they feel out of place and thats why they show them being attacked by the rest of the band. Just watch the behind the scenes and youll understand.

If it ain;t Dutch, it ain't much ! Yeah, had to, lame, i know. Also, check her old work in After Forever, i personally liek their last album, Discord, the best. And check Delain, their 10 anniversary live show is amazing, they're really good live. Then of course Within temptation. Nice Dutch threesome.

Nightwish - So welcome to the world of symphonic metal and reacting to the foremost band in that genre. Tuomas is a genius songwriter/composer, Marco is great on bass and vocals, Empu is the cute little shit on guitar that just shreds it, Jukka was the one on drums and he killed it completely and Floor is their lead singer. She is a goddess and can sing any genre she wants, her voice is just that powerful and angelic all at once. They've had 3 singers, Tarja(who originally recorded Ghost Love Score), she is the full on opera soprano, Anette was their second singer and.. just no, not on the old songs. Floor however, I think fits best with the band as they are now. Slipknot - Oh Corey Taylor how I love thee. He can do melodic, growl, scream, you name it. If you want kind of the softer side of Corey Taylor try some Stone Sour - Bother or Through Glass. The ones in the video that got blown or .. well eaten.. the members of the band debuted their new looks and they "killed" the old looks.
