Troy is English and was originally a session player before becoming a full member of the group just about the time of this concert. He also plays low whistles, guitar, bouzouki and sings.

Troy play the Irish Bagpipes called Uillean Pipes. They use a bellow under one arm instead of having to blow air, leaving Troy free to sing or drink beer. ;) He also plays a ton of other instruments. When you never knew you needed a Bagpipe /Guitar duet. So cool! Please do check out this same song at the Beunos Aires Concert. So fun! Crowd was awesome & band had a blast!

"Yours Is An Empty Hope" and "The Greatest Show On Earth" are some amazing Nightwish songs written later, written for albums she was on.. There are several good concert clips (here on KZfaq) where you can check out these and more, like one in Tampere and one in Buenos Aires. Then there's the final concert with Tarja in Helsinki. "Planet Hell", "Slaying the Dreamer, and "Over The Hills And Far Away" are some of my favourites from that one.

The one from Buenos Aires is legendary too… and there are two previous (female front) singers, not just one. First came Tarja Turunen, followed by Anette Olzon. Tuomas, Marko and Troy have done vocals as well.

I'm all for you doing every Wacken 2013 song, but there are plenty of bangers from later albums on more recent concerts as well. "Yours is an empty hope" from Wembley 2015 will blow you away. "The greatest show on earth" is an absolute must.

If you notice the look that Floor gives Emppu at about 10:20 it's because he disabled her in-ear monitor when he went by her before. Emppu is a practical joker & that is a part of what he was talking to Troy about a little earlier. Of course she got him back by switching out the beer in his bottle with apple juice a bit later on. Emppu does not like apple juice.

This is the only song from this concert that is better somewhere else. Buenos Aries, because of the crowd and Floor's dancing. That's Troy playing Uilleann Pipes, sounds like bagpipes but you don't blow into them. He has a bellows under his arm that supplies the air. He can sing while playing the pipes.

You finally met Troy! He joined Nightwish at the same time as Floor, as a multi instrumentalist and vocalist. While this version is great,(like all performances from Wacken 2013,) my favourite is from BA 2018. In that we see and hear Floor not at her best, recovering from illness and how the fecking insane South American Nightwish Army pours energy into the band like it's coming from a fire hose. One to bear in mind!

The Wacken version is great, but the ultimate performance of "I Want My Tears Back" is from the Buenos Aires 2018 concert - Floor lets loose and dances all over the stage, the audience goes crazy. No, all the bangers are not here. The best version (IMO) of this one is (again) Buenos Aires 2018. Troy: Troy plays: Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, pump organ, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola, harmonium, aerophone On the pipes(please learn the setlist): "You have to be slightly insane to play them. They're not easy." Tuomas told me he'd been working on "The Eyes of Sharbat Gula" for a while without really hitting the mark. As I was listening to an early demo I thouht it sounded so intriguingly hypnotic that it really didn't need explanatory lyrics. When I mentioned this to Tuomas he said it had never occurred to him to think it like that. The song became an instrumental although there are some ethereal human voices in the background. TONI: Troy, the other new member, didn't have to jump in as dramatically [as Floor], but he has become an irreplaceable part of this group, too. If there's tension in the air for some reason, Troy casts a spell and magically dispels the bad vibes. EWO: Troy radiates the kind of cheerfulness that we sulky northerners can only dream of, but I guess some of his positive attitude has rubbed off on us, too. TUOMAS on touring with Troy: We start preparing about 30 minutes before the show [New York Hammerstein 2915], each of us in his or her own way. Floor changes on her stage clothes and warms up her voice in her dressing room, while we`re warming our fingers in ours. Back in the day, I used to get scared stiff before the show - it was just nauseating, pure horror. It all changed when Troy did some kind of a hypnotic trick to me in Los Angeles in 2012. I really don't know what happened during those twenty minutes, but afterwards, I haven't really panicked before going on stage. This is indeed popular, played 369 times live so far. Not the top by quite a big margin though. Dont forget Auribtoo. Tuomas, his wife and Troy. Phenomenal. You also should consider Tuomas' album The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.

Hi, Arias good work I believe it would be good for you to see the other singles Tarja Turunen and Anette Olzon. Because I believe it will help you understand the History of Nightwish's music and how Floor has put her mark on that music. Tarja is classically trained, Anette is a very good pop style singer. So this is why I think it would help you to see why, in my opinion Floor has sung the songs and as I also believe you will see that she will change the way she sings in the future Floor in a thinker of music presentation. eg: if you watch Tarja's version of Ghost Love Score. You'll see how, Floor made her own mark on the Wacken version.

Quite right, none of these songs are written for Floor. This is an Annette song from Imaginaerum. Wacken 13 is a superb intro to Nightwish ( many say the best concert EVER) . You are obviously happily conscripted into the Nightwish army, and you will enjoy the journey to include Annette and TArja as will as singer three (and final!) valkyrie Goddess Floor.

I think you need to start exploring some of the stuff written for Floor's talents. The albums "Endless Forms Most Beautiful " and 'Human Nature' are both outstanding and offer so much colour and variety. Songs like: Noise Shoemaker (seriously, do the official lyric vid before the live for this one, and look up Eugene Shoemaker's story before hand, will magnify the chills you get! As it's already been mentioned, Troy is a fellow English and a very talented guy. Not many bands include pipes like Nightwish. I would love to point out that this song is 'AMAZING' in the Buenos Aires gig - the Argentinian crowd bring unbelievable energy and I really hope you do it again! Ayreon is a group of invited musicians and singers to take part Arjen Lucassen's project. 'The Day that the World breaks down' is a good a song as any to start with - but I also highly recommend a live performance of 'Everybody Dies' there's a big surprise in it too - I think you’ll like it😊 Take good care of yourself 😃

Besides the big three (Ghost Love Score, The Poet And The Pendulum and The Greatest Show On Earth) this is one of my favorites together with Ever Dream! In most times The Wacken versions are the best but in this case the abuenos Aires version beats all!!!
