she fed his mouth with her incredible fan draw...she received much higher offers to join other bands but stayed loyal and finally had enough..at which point , his ego took over and led him to vain, vindictive acts

@@bornready6924 That theory explains why Tuomas felt it was the right decision to remove her, but it doesn't explain Emppu and Marco also agreeing with that decision. I'm sure there's more to the story on both sides, but the three of them unanimously agreed to cut her loose, so there must've been *some* legitimate reason to make that move. Tuomas is not a one-man show who can (or would) boss the other two around, it was a group decision.

This song is a message to Tarjas husband, and when Tuomas puts his messages into music, you can expect good music! He threw back what he had been throug in a classic way...one of his best songs, the louder you listen to it, the better!🤘🤘

@@Piia2023 .. it depends on the issues involved..did he encourage her to go solo, perhaps, but did he want higher payouts... not according to best available evidence provided by him on many occasions... was he going to use her up and dispose of her as Tuomas insisted..obviously not..17 years of happy marriage attest to it...was he the only one , a stranger at the time, comfort her after a brutal onstage attack..he surely was...did Tuomas have the maturity to confront Tarja..obviously not...was posting an ugly letter, clearly designed to harm her rep. a responsible act...certainly not...did Tuomas bring the sky down on himself...no doubt

And don't forget while your lips are still red and the Voyager Marco sounds phenomenal in those songs and you can hear a totally different version of his voice. Especially in the song while your lips are still red.

If you like Pink Floyd don't bother with that song. Just stick to the original. Marco is good, but that pair of shoes clearly isn't his size.

Tuomas wrote this song after Tarja has been kicked out of band. Meaning of lyrics goes around like this "The entire song is actually a song of hate and hurt. Tuomas wrote this as a song of hate toward Tarja's husband and blamed him for what Tarja had become. He is colling him the master of passion and greed. He is saying that because of her husband Tarja became a person of greed. Hes blaming Tarja's husband of ensnaring her with passion. "

Also you need to know her husband was her manager and didn't care about nightwish so she followed what he said wich eventually lead Tuomas to kick her out.

@@corneliusantonius3108 we don't know how true this would have been though. Tarja had for ages threatened to leave and "only make one more album". I'm assuming the growing success of Nightwish kept her in the band much longer than she originally thought and if the band would've kept growing she would have probably stayed. They were growing to a point however where more success meant touring in North America in much more humble conditions than elsewhere and this caused a lot of friction inside the band because Tarja and her husband weren't particularly happy about the conditions/money in North American tours. I believe North American tours were cancelled at least twice (if not more) by them.

I knew you two would like this song. This was written about Tarja's husband. Tuomas says this song will never be played live. That is why the video asked for was this studio one with the lyrics. Thanks for doing this one. I love Marco! :-)

Nightwish usually don't play this heavy music. But they are capable, if bothered to do so. They were seriously pissed off when writing this. That's why it is so dark and heavy. And why it will not be played live.

Suggestion: In This Moment - Comanche. I ❤️ the beat and rhythm of this anthem-like fight song and Maria's vocals are simply amazing. It's the kind of song you need to get right pumped up.🤘🎶 "Let me hear your war cry!"

Tuomas was angry because of Marcelo being greed and changing Tarja as a person (as they say)...finally out from NW. Marco did also strong angry like vocals here opposite to songs like "While Your Lips Are Still Red".

If you like heavier Nightwish songs you should definitely listen to "Nightwish - The Pharaoh Sails to Orion" studio or live version. Both of them are incredible.

This is the hardest heaviest song that Nightwish has ever written. Sounds like thrash. And I don't think they have ever said a curse word ever in any of their songs. This is the first time, and it shows you exactly what they think about master passion greed. That's what us fans call tarjas husband.

Today (9th December) was Within Temptation day holy shit her voice was ..... unbelievable! Floor was already nice, but this did impress me even more !

If you haven't heard already, I would recommend you a band called Revamp! It's Floor Jansen's former band and kinda her baby... The style Revamp plays serves her voice incredibly well: opera, rock, growling- everything you can imagine! Revamp is now cancelled, because Floor is currently in Nightwish :( They managed to make two awesome albums which I can recommend anytime anyplace! You should react to Trial of monsters (Live at Graspop 2010). The sound quality isn't the best for the reason that they were/are a band with no world-wide reputation, but I think you'll manage. Thanks for the great video as always!

Excellent song and very different musically to many other Nightwish songs. Marco is very talented. I checked their live from Tampere the other day, and I must say Stargazers (old Tarja song) was very nicely sung by Floor. Really recommend checking it out, shows that Floor can sing operatic songs really well too. edit// And same gig had Marco singing The Islander live which was beautiful!

Tides by Tarot is one of the most impressive examples of Marco's cleaner vocals, if you're interested. High Hopes (Pink Floyd Cover) and Reach (An early demo version of Amaranth) by Nightwish are good options too.

Hey guys. Grat reaction as allways. If you wanna try another harder song, this time with Floor behind microphone, try Yours is an empty hope (Live on Baltic Princess) or Weak Fantasy (from Tampare or somewhere else). For Marco's calm voice try The islander (live from Tampere (or music video, but live is better)) or While your lips are still red (music video (or live from Wembley, but music video sounds just slightly better this time))

guys i know you like heavier nightwish songs so i would suggest you listen to "end of all hope". it was made when tarja was still around and i think they gained a lot of fans through this song. most certainly it was the song that introduced me into their music. love your vids boys, keep doing what you're doing.

It is actually so sad that the close connection collapsed. I saw some videos where they we so close in the beautiful landscape with some horses and goats etc around...talking nice together. I do not know what really happened but in case it was so as written in the letter ... more sad. I still wish they could be friends and no need of these mocking songs of anybody.

The song that got me more interested in Nightwish, I wanted to hear more heavy and intense songs from them. Although I found some of the lyrics, especially "hello, how are you? ...etc" kinda weak. Even though I find Anette to be the weakest vocalist, I find this to be their best album.
