At first Tuomas wasn't considering making a music video for 'Noise'. Floor convinced him however that they should do it and afterwards Tuomas said that it turned out one of the best they ever did and that he had a lot of fun making it. You have to watch this one multiple times to catch all the thought-provoking gems he has put in it.

You absolutely MUST watch the music video for nightwish - Elan! One of my all time favourite songs and floor looks unbelievably beautiful, as more of a pin-up cabaret singer instead of her usual rockin' leather!

Two other must-watch NW music videos are "Elan",has a wonderful feel and Floor looks unbelievably stunning in it, and "Shoemaker, just magnificent.

Spot on !!! The “noise” which Nightwish talks about in this song is a metaphor for constantly being plugged into the “matrix”. Or a simpler way of putting it is that this song is based on the concept of the modern human dependency on electronic media being a bad thing. don't get me wrong , virtual media is not entirely bad, but it's abuse is. The blonde model is Jessica Edstrom, an actual internet "influencer". She is pretty big in Europe, and was willing to do this video which pokes fun at the world in which she makes a living. I'd say she's pretty cool for doing this.

Oh also, the guy they were stabbing was emppu, the guitarist. For "having a different opinion on the internet" basically. And the guy taking the selfie instead of helping is Kai, the drummer that replaced Jukka! It was also Tuomas in the bath tub filled with oil. It's supposed to be the irony of being 2 faced where people want to take selfies and be seen to be protesting and doing what is popular, but in reality behind the scenes they are the ones most guilty of it

The reason you haven't watch the music videos instead of live is because the studio/ videos are fantsatic...and the live videos with Floor are...er...whatever is way beyond fantastic! I haven't got words that can descrie it sufficiently. Having said that, Shoemaker music video is just magnificent, magnificent, magnificent.

Nightwish has shot a few music videos, since Tarja was the singer... 'Sleeping sun' was the earliest one (I think)... and they did cool ones for 'Nemo' ... 'Wish I had an angel'... When Anette joined the band in 2007, they did one for 'Amaranth' and for 'Bye bye beautiful' (w/ the guys in Nightwish substituted by female models alongside Anette)... Two songs w/ Marco Hietala singing lead had videos - 'The Islander' and a non-album movie soundtrack single - 'While your lips are still red'. The last Anette video was 'Storytime', but it was edited, unfortunately.

Noise is from Nightwish latest album, Human Nature released in April 2020. It’s another masterpiece & even their lyric music videos of all the songs on that album are fantastic. Just a suggestion but I would start with the First song, Music and go thru the playlist in order as it is a concept album. My favorite music video of Nightwish with Floor are, Elan, and Endless Forms Most Beautiful Floor even said in the comments of Endless Forms that she really enjoyed and had so much fun making the video. This video came out in Feb 2020 right before shut down. It is so incredibility creative and one of best songs on latest album. They open with it in concerts last few shows. I know you like Epica and also coming to US with Sabaton in September. Both amazing live.

This is from the newest album and they have videos, anything before this album all you see is a picture of the album cover. I agree with doing this album, most you don't see anything. That's what I love about watching them live, you get to see them professionally performing on stage and how good they really are.

@Anastasia Luna: You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Noise is basically Nightwish's warning about how technology, rather than making mankind better, is making us worse. I personally feel that this video is a Gothic Horror music video. I say this because old Gothic Horror stories were warnings and lessons -- like Frankenstein was about having God-like power over life and death, and Something Wicked This Way Comes was a story about the moral, "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it." Noise is similar in that it is a warning about paying attention to technology more so than the world around us. And the horrific thing is, we are letting technology baby-sit and raise our children, being exposed to things that children should never be exposed to -- all because parents aren't parenting, and aren't taking an active interest in their kids' lives. Add to all of that the idea that collectively, we have become dumber, more narcissistic, and more divided. As a result, Big Tech now wields more power over our everyday lives than government ever has. And as a result, human society may well now be called a technocracy, rather than a democracy or republic, simply because Big Tech plays by its own rules, it's own laws, if you will, that are definitely not the same as the formal legal laws passed by governments. And because of those rules, those laws -- based in contract law, such as Terms of Service and End-User Licensing Agreements -- act to punish people, despite a great many agreements and Terms of Service actually breaking the laws that govern what Big Tech can or cannot do. Because of these things, I now feel as if people would rather be a prisoner of technology, than be free people. And being a prisoner doesn't necessarily mean you're incarcerated, it could merely mean being prevented from posting because you say something on FaceBook, KZfaq, or Twitter that the platform doesn't like -- and thus such practices encourage conformity and oppression, rather than individuality and liberty. Noise is Nightwish's warning to us all, that Idiocracy may well become reality, instead of staying a fiction.

Tuomas stated in an interview after the release that Noise isn't a "critique" of our social media lifestyle per se, but more like a commentary and observation of how it looks, of course with a dramatic, artistic flair. He couldn't have foreseen the pandemic, which actually turned a lot of these caricatyres into more or less everyday reality. It's not a dramatic observation anymore because of that, Noise has since then become just an observation of the status quo as is. They've done a lot of music videos over the years, but honestly the earlier ones are a bit cute in a picture-drawn-by-a-5-year-old kind of way, especially the Tarja era videos back when fast cuts were all the rage in the biz. Their music videos have accumulated quality as the years passed by, with every new production being better than what came before. Noise is from 2020 so it's from the latest end of music videos they have done.

Yeah they have quite a few music video, but reactors have to go back in time, out of their comfort zones, to see most of them. Like the amazing "Sleeping Sun" (2005 version) video, "Nemo", "Over the Hills and Far Away" for example.

The director Stobe (ormaybe it was Tuomas) said that Tuomas had a fever when they filmed the bathtub scene, but he himself said it was very enjoyable and he sat there about an hour. 😁maybe felt good when feverish.

Nightwish might even have the longest music video i know. They made a movie called Imaginaerum which is based on the same called album. A remixed set list if you will. I have to say, even as a Nightwish fan this is only ok-ish to watch. That said i have a steel book edition on my collectors shelf.

Seven Spires they blowing up since touring with Dragonforce Seven Spires - The Unforgotten Name they are a Dark Lore Symphonic Gothic Metal Band similar to Cradle of Filth or DImmu Borgir just not full black metal but so good any way better than most bands like Nightwish level good. Lore for albums is on their website as well super good as wll super Nightwish fan as well and Symphonic Metal lover since I was young.

If you haven't seen the Nightwish film "Imaginaerum" yet, you should definitely do so. At first it may seem very irritating and incoherent, but if you keep watching carefully (!), you will eventually understand what is happening. "Imaginaerum" is just like Tumoas' music and lyrics: poetic, full of metaphors and just brilliant.

It was Emppu who wrote something in social media and got attacked for "wrong opinion". Kai took a photo of it. The rest was how they display themself on the net vs how they are in real life. The child was living in the virtual word all his life and clicked the like button (you see a heart in the cyklope) At the end of the first child part we hear Floor saying "shut up", that can only be heard in mono so you didn't hear it in the headset, only in the mono sound you gave us others :-/

Great Reaction. Nightwish isn't big on music videos and I think there is only one per album. Elan is the only other one I am aware of with Floor. Nemo and Sleeping Sun with Tarja are excellent. This is from their latest and in my opinion best album. Every song is fantastic and all three of the singers were challenged in their performances. Because it came out just as the shut down happened and the band couldn't tour in support of the album, they released lyric videos for every other song. HIghly recommend starting with Music and then going through the disc 1. Disc 2 is a gorgeous 30 minute orchestral piece with an epic ending movement called Ad Astra. There is a fan made, band approved music video by Sensei Videos that perfectly mirrors the music. Epica/Sabaton tickets go on sale today!

This video is quite special i think. Their other videos are often also not bad, but nothing compared to this. Personally for me Within Temptation does the best music videos, they mostly have some quite dark stories like in "Frozen" or "Angels", or just great visuals like "And we run ft. XZibit" where the story has more an empowering ending. Or also "What about us ft.Tarja". Whatever, we should meanwhile all know that most metal bands can actually play live so we don't have to watch only live videos to see if they can play their stuff live.

You should definitely do reaction videos on the music videos they have made for their new album. I see Timo already mentioned what I wanted to point out. Nightwish doesn't really say that we do everything wrong or that they have the perfect guideline for people, but more like a warning on what the earth will be like and that we need to stop, think, act and be responsible for what we do. That is what I feel they want to say and I agree. Humans think they are the gods of this planet, and yes, we do a lot of good, but we also destroy a lot. Think we own everything and we do not think about what the consequences are and will be. I will recommend all to join World Land Trust, makes you feel happy and know that you do something good! We need to take care of the nature and all the living creatures on this planet, everything is important for this planet and for the life it has!

Floor with Nightwish has 3 live DVDs with 4 concerts and a live stream. But only two studio albums. That's why you find so many live recordings. The quality of the single videos is related to the budget. The more successful the band became, the better the videos became.

I love this band, but I’ll be honest with you… the other music videos are kind of crap. This is very much the exception, the rest are the stereotypical video of the band playing instruments while there is some loose narrative occurring in cut scenes.
