Your comment on Floor is totally on point. Floor with a little help from Tuomas is the ultimate storyteller. I agree. This would be so epic live. Unfortunately it will be a year or 2 before they tour with this new song. Full record drops in September. Hopefully a couple more early releases this summer. I think a total of 3 videos for this new record. Tuomas works with the directors to realize his vision. You understand perfectly my friend. The musical soundscape tells the story and the lyrics are brief and succinct, with a touch of poetry. Musically artistic with the power and majesty of epic metal. Love your intelligent commentary. Hello again, Nuclear Reactions. Nightwish Army Phoenix subscriber back here for you. This is absolutely one of the best reactions I have seen to this hauntingly beautiful video and song. I have now watched it dozens of times and this is the rare treat that continues to grow on you as you delve into its nuances. I am really looking forward to the lyric video of this since Floor's voice sounds amazing but with all of the fantastic orchestration and choir going on around her, it is hard to hear the lyrics until you actually know them. That said, I think Tuomas knew exactly what he was looking for and achieved it. Terrific and thank you.

Great reaction! I'm with you, this is a masterpiece, both the song and the video. There has been some criticism that Floor is a little too low in the mix (intentional for the desired soundscape), but I feel like a lot of that is trying to understand unfamiliar lyrics. I find that the more I listen to it, and the more I know the lyrics, the less I even notice that. It all feels very natural now, and I have no problem "hearing" the lyrics. And yes, although it probably won't happen anytime soon, this is going to be so epic live!

Thank you for your reaction! I needed to see and listen to this video several times to process the information, emotions, music, visuals. Every time I discover something else. I caught myself singing the chorus a few times today. Tuomas is such a genius and everyone working on the project Yesterwynde is doing such a great job delivering what he thought up. You probably have not checked The Greatest Show on Earth yet. After this video you're going to like that one. Two live versions: Tampere 2015 and Wembley 2015. The performances are a bit different but both are epic.

Specifically on use of the word "perfume". It has the quality of reminding us that someone was previously there even if we no longer see them; it lingers on even after that wearer has departed. And scents so specifically trigger our memories that relate us to time, place, people, etc. It is really a very deep message.

My favorite moment in this song is the scene where Floor dives into the book "On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin.
