I cannot express how glad i am that this song got captured on film at least once before Marco decided to leave the music industry. Though I respect his decision, this is one of the songs that he played such a pivitol role in and desverved to be captured live!!!

Oh my God - her eyes at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="190">3:10</a> during the "show off toys" line - this woman truly is a sorceress. Beware, lest ye fall under her spell! It took me a couple of times through until I realized that Floor sang the "Once upon a time" line. Good Lord, what a range she has - and that much power that low in her range is just incredible.

Damn this band just keeps getting better and better and Stronger and Stronger!!! Floor takes the cake on this one. She is so strong and powerful and is like Wonder Woman in this band. She's got the looks, the beauty, the muscles, the voice and the charisma to lead this band to the next level. It's awesome how she has the crowd roaring for more. Love it. A+++

And what is most important they finally have a vocalist that has the range to match the ingenuity that is compositions by Tuomas. That is something they sadly have lacked before. Tuomas said in an interview that if Floor ever leaves he will end the band. So he clearly considers her the perfect choice for them.

@@Aquelll I believe it is in the documentary "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" where Tuomas admits Floor was at the top of a very short list of singers he even considered as the new vocalist for Nightwish after they split ways with Annet. Considering Floor had at that time only just recovered from a serious burn-out, we're all very lucky that the pieces fell into place. Floor herself has admitted in an interview that they shouldn't have called her a month earlier or she would have said "no" because she wouldn't have been up for it.

As much as I love Nightwish's studio recordings, I actual prefer their live performances! I was in a touring band for well over a decade, and every time we played with a new band I always wanted to get out into the audience to see them live. Between that, and just buying tickets to bands that I loved, I've probably seen a thousand shows! Before I saw Nightwish in concert, believe it or not, I felt 38 Special was the best sounding band I've ever seen. I wasn't even into that genre! When I was young and dumb, it was Metal or nothing! When I saw 38 Special in the mid 80's, when they still had two drummers, and two backup singers, the metal or nothing attitude flew right out the window! lol They were fantastic! After seeing Nightwish, 38 Special became the second best live sounding band I have ever seen! Nightwish kicks ass:)

This is my new favorite Nightwish performance and song. I really love the lyrics. A brilliant indictment of organized religion. And then Marko and Floor's voices sound amazing together as always. They both have such expressiveness and subtlety in their technical choices. That's not even getting into all the great things the band is playing.

This tune has less views and is way less popular than GLS, Phantom of the Opera, Romanticide and tGSoE. But to be fair, this one seems most organic and energetic to me, with much better team work and distrubution, top notch soundwise, greater dynamics. Deserves more views and comments 🤔🤬🤬🤬🤬 Lead singers voice might be not so powerful as in GLS (or, to be more precise, it is just less promiment on much more active music backstage, than is GLS). Greatest Show on Earth is also great and kinda like similar, but to be fair, this one has more dynamics, and sounds even more metal than tGSoE. Tribal vibe present in both. But in this one it is way more organic and more clever way fitted in - while in tGSoE tribal part comes as a break as a changeover between song parts, here it is just a part during song, sounds much more natural and native sounding. Tho, might be it not the best performance in 1 particular definition, but if we summarise all, it is superior to GLS, Romanticide , Phantom , and Greatest Show too. Overall level of this song is just top-notch. This song just keeps all the Nightwish definitive scopes, maybe making them tad bit less prominent (which is still pretty much enough to know it is Nightwish) in return making them sounds more powerful and metal. Which is damn good.

I think all the Wacken 2013 songs are stealing the limelight a bit, and that's very understandable because it was such an amazing production in every way. But I agree with you that this performance is way up there with the best Nightwish has done. Definitely one of my favorites.
