Real Nightwish fans love all eras. When you only listened at Tarja and are skipping them since 2005 then you have never really appreciated Jukka or Tuomas or Marko Emppuetc you have never been a real fan. Real fans love all eras despite having a favorite singer

I've learned that Tarja has an Opera background before becoming a singer for Nightwish. It certianly explains how great her voice really is.

My sister loves Metal, and loves Nightwish, I held her hand and we listen to this song as she passed away losing her battle to cancer on November 11/19/2020. I will never forget this song or her. I love you Crystal, may you find rest. EDIT - I want to thank everyone for your kind words. I hope nothing but the best for all of you and your loved ones. Rock on my brother's and sisters of metal. We rock for thoughs who are no longer with us. 1 year had passed. Thank you everyone for your support. I miss you sis may you rock on in heaven.

@@brandonharris9160 Almost all of Nightwish songs are composed and written by him, he's the one playing on keyboards. Check out their best, long songs like "Greatest Show on Earth", "Poet and Pendulum", "Beauty of the Beast". There's also a symphonic composition "All The Works of Nature..." and "Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge" - no metal, pure orchestra, pure Tuomas Holopainen. But best thing would be to just listen to each album one by one.

It's really awesome! Anyway, earlier, I'd asked if we have other bands like this? I said that I don't know about country, but I like some 'club/trance' (ex. Laura Aqui - After Dark or any Emma Hewitt). Elsewhere, someone mentioned Retrowave music, but that's more '80s' style.

I love Tarja. However, the best combination in Nightwisch is Hanko and Floor. Tarja = goddess of metal Floor = queen of rock, queen valkyrie. And there's another one, not from Nightwisch. Noora Louhimo, the queen of metal.

This is my favorite nightwish song too. But I kind of stopped listening to them after giving anette a shot. It didn't feel the same without Tarja. But I missed out completely on giving Floor a chance so that's what I'm doing today.

Twenty years ago... in the year of 2004, I as a 14teen year old and the moon as my companion were heading home from a friend's place, during a practically snowy winter night. There were no lights on the street. It is hard for me to explain that almost magical feeling. Oh, I remember the feeling, feeling cold, feeling dark, and yet happy at the same time. Feeling like strolling through some dreamy wonderland, enjoying the sounds of snow crunching under my feet... Anyway, it was the midnight hour, so I wanted to reach my house as soon as possible. The house was located at the end of the village in a small town of Virovitica in Croatia. There was only a thick blanket of snow surrounding the house and far away... Finally, as I entered the house, I prepared myself an apple cinnamon tea, which is still my favorite to this day and a strong reminder of my childhood and Nightwish. I decided to turn on the TV, and the first thing that happened was that everything stopped for me when I heard her voice. Playing was "Wish I Had an Angel". It was mesmerizing for me. I was in a transcendent mode right then, the combination of Tarja and Marco singing with symphonic music was so aesthetic for me at that moment that it always reminds me of that snowy winter night. Little did I know that I had just encountered my favorite metal band and metal music from then on... Litte did I know that 2005 will be END OF AN ERA.... from then on there is no song or album that I haven't listened to... and the rest is history.... P.S. One thing I dearly miss so much or am sad about is not going to their concert while they were all together.

My mother who is good friends with the band introduced me to them when I was just a toddler and they were my first ever concert at the age of 5. They were my favorite band growing up and even though I have expanded my music taste, I will always come back here to where my love of music started💕

This song is my childhood. My mom always listened to nightwish in the car and I grew up with their music. It somehow makes me nostalgic right now listening to them again. Although I usually listen to very different genres, I still love their music and come back to their songs.

I love Tarja and I kinda stopped listening to Nightwish after they parted, I only like a few of the songs they made with Anette, but the truth is that Tarja was indeed more of a "princess" and what she did was wrong and rude for both the band and the Nightwish fans.

What's crazy is that Nightwish is good no matter who is singing for them. A lot of bands get complaints if the singer changes but I've listened to their whole discography and never found a bad song

Es mi preferida y con ella tengo los mejores recuerdos, pero reconozco que Floor ya era una pedazo cantante con After Forever (Reimagine es una maravilla) y con Nightwish son la combinación más hermosa, potente. Digna de una pedazo banda como Nightwish ❤️

(Chills) Once is an absolute masterpiece of symphonic metal, it is the album that I listen to the most from Nightwish, released 18 years ago, still manages to excite me today as when I listened to it for the first time (What a rare gem for this musical genre) I wish I had an angel is simply extraordinary, it will remain (forever in the hearts of all Nightwish fans) Tarja Marko I miss you so much Your duets will remain forever in my heart.
