Nikai is a captive-born gray wolf at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. He is one of the three education wolves at the WCC that help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

I ve met a beautiful white female in S. Dakota 16 years ago... An independent companion of a Native American man. She was my first experience with a wolf in the wild. She appeared like a ghost behind me in front of my tent... I didn't realize she was behind. I felt her when she started sniffing me and her nose touched me. Such a majestic being. Her name was Sunkala. Pronounced Soo/nkala. Rest in peace my dear girl ❤️

@@cathyskywalker77 Yes indeed... It was a breathtaking moment when I turned and saw her beautiful face. I will never forget her. I still have some hair of her thick fur and I am thinking of Sunkala 💜

@@cathyskywalker77 It is a powerful experience to meet a wolf even not completely wild but in the wild. I felt that her own existence was the story of a creation that we have never been told. She was ancient, silently mystical, unexplained wise.... She was unique. She would greet you, stay for a while and ghostly disappear when your eyes was of her. 3 years old... If I were to say at the end of my days my best experiences in life... Sunkala is there ♥️

Absolutely beautiful. I've longed to hear it at night in the wild. At 73, it'll probably never happen. So I'm content to hear your clips. Just wish they were longer. God bless you and your wolves.

@@barbaramiller4104 I've always leaned towards native American everything. Wolves, eagles and hawks, I have always loved. When I saw my 1st eagle in the wild in Oklahoma, it took my breath away. He was soaring above the lake looking for lunch. I've seen them here in SC a few times. But no wolves. Darn. God bless you and yours. And have a Merry Christmas 🎄. And 73 is only a number. Sometimes I feel 83. 😃😃
