As a Defensive player, that "clunkyness" has a life saving stability factor. 100% of your reviews focus on the offensive features but never highlight how it helps players on defense. Can you please try to incorporate more defensive feedback on your PR's?

I feel better if someone in the know confirmed that these were supposed to be a continuation of the Kobe line. These have SO many similarities with the XI Elite. And for the price they're charging for a non-sig- doesn't add up!

FYI SB, the compression is internal in this shoe - you should know this cause the insole isn't attached to the shoe. The outside plates are there to provide stability around the internal compresison.

I've watched a few of your videos and your actually pretty biased when it comes to rating a shoe, but I don't blame you since everyones feet are different and everyone has a different style they like, so keep up the good work man. I come on here just to see what U rate in a shoes durability, and your pretty spot on.

The sock thing is so true! It makes the shoe feel tighter than it is. Might not be a big deal for those with a narrow foot, but if you have a wider foot it’s annoying

I love these, I'm a bigger guard (heavy 250+ lbs) they have everything I need. Plenty of cushion, great traction and materials. They made me feel a little bit quicker. LOL

@@arkanabi67 I sold them, moved onto the JT1. I think the fit is crucial and J found that the KD15 was a better fit for my foot.

Best ball shoe since the Jordan 34, maybe better for Kobe lovers. Looking to stock another colorway down the track. I'd recommend getting the black colorway cause the white toe-box on white models gets super dirty and it's very difficult to clean without damaging the material.

I have this and it feels really good playing in it. It gets to that 13oz because damn you are locked-in in this shoe, your feet is protected which is awesome, and on top of that, the cushion is on steroids man :) . The heel is ok, you have the zoom bag to help you with cushion, the clunky part is to support your heel which is good, see kd's shoes now, it has a bit of clunky heel as well to protect his achilles. but to each his own i guess, it's not for all.

The clunkiness could be for stability. Was just watching a guy from the lakers holding d and his shoe came off. I'm betting because the cushion couldnt hold the glue. I love comfortability and cushion but you definitely dont want it too soft or a bunch of cheap materials

DO NOT PLAY OUTDOORS, play indoor only. Why? For starters, the pavement will literally destroy your knees and back no matter what shoes you wear; Hardwood is more forgiving. 2nd: The 🌞 will toast you to crisp; You play with more focused and concentration and stamina in air-condition gyms. 3rd: The wind and elements will seriously mess up your shooting form; With zero wind and sun blocking your vision, you will know that your shooting form is where it needs to be indoor. Finally: You have a better chance of running into and playing with a pro baller indoor vs outdoor. Who wouldn't want to play with the pros? It's worth the indoor gym membership. You won't regret it!

I was always interested in these when I first saw the images of it come out. Saw these in the Nike store and tried them on. Feels a bit heavy. Definitely a nice and beautiful shoe, but expensive though.

I don’t know many of you run by slamming your heels down on the ground. With most humans (aside for Sammy), their running biomechanics have a heel strike more predominantly from heel/mid foot transitioning to toe off, not jamming the heel down to the ground.

@@lukecuts don’t worry about ur ankles, my best advice is work on exercises to strengthen ur ankles and increase mobility. U got more mobility with low cuts but strengthen ur ankle and increase the mobility

@@bandokazoowee1024 tbh with you bro, I’m not too sure how, I’ve had pretty strong ankles in general, I think working on single balance can help, stretching your calf will help, stretching your shins will help, increasing your range of motion of the ankle and the arch of the foot, this might help but I’m not 100% sure

It may sound strange but I've been using these shoes for running sinc last year and so far it's still is good condition but just the dark color has faded into kind of brownish after many washes 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly I had the same question. I was deciding between Sabrina Gt cut 1 and the Kobe 5 dirty dozen and although Kobes are amazing shoes I decided to go to Gt cut cause lots of people say it’s worth it and tbh I rather get new shoes I never tried then getting the same ones but different color. Plus the Kobe line is coming back so we getting new ones for retail🤞🏽hopefully

Constructive Criticism : Sammy, I dont think ur suppose to run on your heels, Im pretty sure most athletes run on their forefoot. So please refrain from spreading that type of information because in a sense it is wrong. Imo heel to toe transition only matters when your walking, not running...I dont mean any disrespect or hate, just trying to stop you from spreading the wrong information which may affect buyers from purchasing shoes for the wrong reasons.

If you’re moving just on your forefoot then you must be sprinting fairly hard which will happen every now and then doing hard cuts/drives when playing ball but having a nice heel to toe transition is definitely noticeable when you’re not sprinting like when you’re bringing the ball up the court or just doing other non-sprinting movements. Heels are most definitely involved in running especially when there’s distance involved. Sure they are used a little less in basketball but just wanted to point out that his insight on the heel/toe is valid

One year in, the durability on these is trash 🗑 . My team mate has these, we play rec league. Despite only playing in door these have torn on the lateral side of his strong foot. He plays once a week maximum. No great.
