Probably because Nike have used the Tiempo Legend SG-Pro sole plate as a base for Anti Clog, and with the Mercurial having the anatomical plate, the whole point of the boot would go away if you introduced a flat sole. That's my guess at least, nothing has been said officially. /Jay

Sup man. To be honest it's too difficult to say, as I don't know the threshold for when it works and when it doesn't. I'm not sure how much water exactly is needed for it to be lubricious at all times, but it's quite a bit - so I'd be wary of purchasing them before being 100pct sure they'd work. I think Nike are working on improving it all the time but it's difficult to say if there's a solution so it's always lubricated in the works. Don't think it's possible to be honest, as lubricious materials often dry out if not constantly wet. /Jay
