As a foot doctor I look at tennis shoes and tennis shoe technology a bit differently as I focus more on what foot types benefit from these shoes as well as the tennis shoe's functional attributes on the tennis court

Wow very interesting shoes. Probably this is first review for Zoom pro. Thanks a lot and can't wait for play test! I really like the upper and toe guard of this shoe. My concern is Lateral movement/stability of this shoes. Also glued insole? It's gonna hard for us to change orthotic insole...sad.. But thank you for letting us know and great review as always

Great video Dr. Zach! I was just wondering since you like the powerstep pinnacle max do you also like the powerstep pulse max? The only difference I can see is the pulse has more cushion.

Great review! The 5 dots on the lateral side of the midsole remind me of the Nike Alpha Project from the past. I wonder if that was intentional on Nike's part.

Yeah those show up on a few lines here and there that aren’t alphas - I think it’s Easter eggs from tech that came from the line

That scoop in the bottom of the tooling reminds me a lot of the Jordan Zoom Zero Gravity from a few years back. Cushion setup is also very similar, although that Zoom unit was top-loaded.

Yeah I caught that too- difference is ZZ has a wider forefoot and better stability - these i think were probably made off the mold but just don't have the beef of the ZZ

I knew I'd love these so ordered two pairs just arrived very happy. It's a bit of a shame, i don't play tennis. Just bought for streetwear. I knew being a tennis shoe it would last a decent amount of time unlike many more expensive pairs.

Hi. I used to have ankle sprain a lot. It’s been about 2-3 times in each ankle my whole life. I even had ankle sprain from turning direction too fast while walking. Do you have any tennis shoes suggestion for somebody like me? 😅 thanks a lot doc

Hello Zach...thank you for the great review....I have a quick question for you. Is it better to get a 1/2 size shoe smaller if the shoes are a bit bigger or use inserts on top of what exists inside the shoes already ???

Im not sure it depends on your foot type and shoe but an insert won’t do anything for length or a big toebox so I try to go as close to try as I can

@@FootDoctorZach Thank you..The shoe in question is the Adidas Solecourt. It has a bigger front area and my feet feel a little loose....if i walk slowly I can see the front part folding more than usual.... If I put an insert on top of the existing insert it feels a little fuller and tighter...Maybe because they elevate my foot a bit.

hi doc, ive recently bought the le coq sportif shoes you reviewed and maybe in a 0.5 (euro) bigger than my one and what I found from putting the shoes on is that its good in the front of the shoes, but on the back (the angle) the shoe is very big and it just slips out of my feet while playing (they have actually sliped out completely of my foot completely while playing) what can i do to make them smaller in the ankle? for now i will be returning to the nike air zoom vapor x which are becoming really hard to find.

I had to return my Nike Court Air Zoom Vapor Pro as the arch was too tight/raised with the internal 'sock; which made my custom carbon insole too tight. Would you recommend these as an alternative?

I'm looking into powerstep inserts based on one of your videos but they have so many options. I have a higher arch and have been having strain in my right arch as I'm recovering from an ankle surgery. I'm 6' 1" 185. Any advice to point me in the right direction would be awesome!

Couldnt say without an exam but if theres also Move orthotics that just come in one stye that fit pretty well for most feet- otherwise i usually just use pinnacle max with powerstep- if you need something specific then id look into custom

I wear Nike's for pretty much every other exercise I engage in (running, basketball, training), but both Nike tennis shoes I have tried (GP Turbo/vapor cage 4) start out ultra comfortable, but end up giving me pretty rough blisters on the side of my big toe's after a few hours of play. I have tried doubling socks and really cinching down the strings, but it doesn't seem to work. You think any chance these would be different?

your comment about ankle sprainers, come on man, folks don't plan on spraining their ankles. regardless of the shoe, it can happen.

I don’t really care for an over zealous routine of buying new shoes, trainers or those for a specific use, I use all my hiking, running and gym shoes until they really need replacing. Collecting sneakers or trainers is a pathetic hobby anyway. However, do you really need to keep destroying these shoes brand new. Poor Kids or anyone else desperate for new shoes/clothing would probably watch this in shock. Find another way to film the shoe/foot profile. Outlandishly wasteful.

Wearing running shoes for tennis at high level will bust an ankle- most court sport athletes who train at a regular interval will go through shoes at 3-4 months before a chronic repetitive injury sets in, i know this because i treat them every day- and by showing people whats really in a shoe I waste ONE vs how many hundreds of thousands of people who watch my content monthly buying a shoe and having to return or throw away in a landfill - better buying decisions = less waste overall not to mention how many times i've refuted claims from manufacturers and saved consumers time and money- maybe outlandish but by no means wasteful
