I've been playing on my Freak 4s indoor/outdoors, and they have been pretty much my go-to. The traction is solid, and in some ways better than my KD14's traction. It just bites better and gives me a lot of peace of mind out there lol. The two zoom pods in the forefoot satisfies my hunger for good cushion as well. The heel is somewhat dead but I don't consider it as a down side - it doesn't take anything away from the good performance the whole shoe brings. It's still bouncy, and very light. I also own a PG 5, Jordan 34, and I just copped a Tatum 1 the other day. Excited to play in my Tatum 1s strictly on indoors tho.

Freak 4s for strictly outdoors were smooth under the ball of the foot after about 3-4 months, the cushion is still very good and upper has held up really well, my favourite outdoor ball shoe is still the kd12 and 13 tho. Because of the zoom strobel board the cushion was excellent for over a year in each before the sole was worn through and the units popped and they had tons of support and cushion for someone like me who has a history of plantar fasciitis and rolled ankles, never had either one happen in the kds, i hate that theyve changed the line to lows for the 16

I have both shoes and I haven't played with my Freak 5 yet but I had a great time playing with the 4s. The cushion and traction were great even though I played on a not so clean court. I love the bounce that I felt with my 4s. So far I've been seeing a lot of reviews saying that the Freak 5s are better. I hope to play with my new pair soon.

I picked up the freak 4 at the nike outlets for only $67 today, cant wait to try them out

The portion and the quality of materials have been downgraded from previous years models. Aesthetically though they look quite good, i really dig the large swoosh!
