I really love how Dr. Zach includes heel slippage. Rarely in youtube reviewers talk about heel slippage. Really great review. I would also include how flexible / stiff a shoe is as someone who has a plantar fasciitis it affects my foot too if a shoe is to stiff when Im running. although I know stiffness helps with prevention of ankle rolling.

Yeah I love the Hustle 2 and these are a very different pair of shoes. Only played in the 3s once, today, but agree with and noticed everything FDZ says. You feel higher up, but it makes you want to run forward, it’s willing you forwards and changing that shin angle. The Hustle 2s are mad comfy but they are flat flat, they are happy if you’re comfortable and having a good time. Hustle 3s are tipping you forwards to run the fast break every possession.

Zach I was so excited about this shoe because of all the cushion. I’m 44 and play mostly outdoors. These things are a death trap. I never have ankle sprains/twists and had the worst injury of my life in my opinion due to the shoes. I came down on my heel grabbing a rebound and had an extremely bad lateral sprain. Stability was the one con in your review and others I watched. I played about 5x in them with no issue but then had the incident happen. I wanted to pass along so you were aware of this major flaw in the shoe design.

You might ankle roll/break yourself if you wear this shoe, the forefoot is too high off the ground cause of the cushioning setup, lateral stability will become an issue whenever you do crossovers or sliding your feet when defense

I feel the same way about these and the Hustle 2 vs the Run. The Hustle 3 feels like the true successor to that shoe, while the Hustle 2 felt like a really random departure that was aiming for more of a KD14 overall offering (but without a shank). The forefoot of the 3 more closely matches what I was expecting the Hustle 2 to be, and with the improved traction on dust (my only knock on the Run), these might even give my Lebron 20/21s a run for their money. I still have the Run as one of my favorite shoes in my lineup (didn't even look at the Hustle 2, even with sale prices), and can't wait for the 3 to drop in price for me to try.

The ball getting stuck in bars behind the backboard really hit home for me. Haha. Wish these 3’s had more support as I was really hoping this shoe was the one.

Great review Zach! Shame that the lateral containment is terrible. I called it from the moment they released the images, how could Nikes quality assurance department and design dept. now know how terrible this was going to be with thicc forefoot cushion? But that’s what Nike does best, making almost perfect shoes every time so the consumer hope that next time they’ll get the formula finally down for performance (they won’t 😢)

thanks! im the biggest fan of GT Hustle 2. it just works well, i can play, no pain on knees and foot, grips just fine, supportive enough, good enough on all categories. good or bad , I had to get these!

Had a grade 3 sprain using the GT Run (Hustle 1) and kept rolling in them after I recovered. Had to sell my two pairs. I still extremely want these, they look slightly lower, more stable with the shank and the shape of the forefoot looks way better

This gotta be some sort of negligence lawsuit on nike's part, not just for dismembering the line of "gt hustle" with inconsistency, but for the fact they are allowing such a clearly poorly designed shoe to be on market

I pride myself on playing great defense on the perimeter so a shoe like this probably won’t work for me as a lower stack height gives me more confidence in moving side to side (and coming to a stop) quickly Thanks for another great vid, Doc!

I own the original GT cut, the latest GT jump 2 and now the hassle the multi-colored recently released. I own the lebron signature line from 15 to 21 to the exception of 18. JORAN 35 TO 38..... I have damaged my knees and back in the past, these shoes are a God Sent. I am 44 years old 6.2 234 LBS, when I land of a jump, I need a decent amount of cushion to prevent more damage to my used and abused body. If you are older and want to preserve your ligaments and joints, this a fantastic shoe. If you are younger and light, I would go with the Lebrons 21 or Jordan 38. One thing g to keep in mind, not all color ways feel and behave the same. My lebron 21 purple for example is the best out of most of the color ways available in terms of feel and cushion. I have a regular size foot, I had to go a size up and still fits snug. The material on the multi-colored way is stiffer than the one on the video. It would be helpful if you tried them on first prior to buying them. You have 2 months with nike to try a shoe and return it if you don't like it.

My ankles hurt just by watching doc doing lateral movements on this shoe. Whoever designed this model needs to be fired. Nike GT Ankle Sprain. Anyway. Great review from Doc the GOAT as usual! Waiting for the Shockwave 6 and GT Hustle Academy reviews!

im very picky when it comes to basketball shoes because im prone to ankle injury but when i wore the converse g4 high top, i like it alot the stability is very good and i didnt have ankle issues. STABILITY should be prioritze when it comes to basketball shoes for me

To be honest, if you professionally trained, the high midsole isnt an issue of injury But stepping on someone’s foot will be a RIP for ankles And high stacke midsole is a bye bye So in all seriousness, people have to know that wemby doing mid range shots for that reason Longevity is a rare thing, most hoopers want cross-over, posterise dunking. And having this shoes going into the paint is crazyyyyyy

Hate it. The Hustle 2 was one of my favorite shoes last year if not my favorite. Would have much preferred an incremental change instead of an overhaul. Hope I can grab another Hustle 2 on deep discount before they are gone.

He should review how the back top of the shoe should go outward, should not rub the achilles tendon , a torn achilles may end an athletes career.

They needed to have more reinforcements or overlays on the uppers. I’m not feeling the shank. Should have been more elongated. Needs air zoom in the heel. It’s an upgrade from the 3. Overall I’m a bit disappointed. Thx
