Thanks David 🙏🏾 It’s an almost cartoonish amount of cushioning, but when you see it, feel it and take more than a few steps, you can really see a use case for something well cushioned and non-plated. But I will say, if you have a resolution to only buy one pair this year, skip these. Haha. Better is coming.

@@Wolfy857 On the contrary, my post does not tell the full story. My wardrobe has 15 new pairs in it, I tend to stock pile shoes I like, especially when discounted. I've six pairs in rotation and two trails, so I should stop buying. In theory I probably don't need a new pair for four years. You'll find me on Strava doing around 2,000km a year, 5k to HMs. Last year I got to April without buying, and then...............

@@davidblockley9923 for training, I’m adidas to the heart. I too keep it in the family with a few pairs of Puma, but their cousins so it’s cool right? Haha. I keep it honest by testing other brands if I can get my hands on them, but those are my real go-to(s).

@@RDQLUS Cousins ? Like you and me man they are brothers😀 ! Take a look at Diadora some time, their best shoes are handmade in Italy. Expensive, but not like the best brands who go on about recycling/saving the planet and then the shoe says 'Made in China'. My son bought me a pair for Christmas, not tried them yet, but a beautiful shoe.

I completely agree. That’s why I said it looked like a basket of plastic. Haha. I’ve never really been a fan of FlyKnit because PrimeKnit was just too good for the size, shape and use case of this shoe, the old UB 20 does the same work much better. I’m still trying to break down the foam and see how it progresses. It’s a great look, but I reserve high praise for it just yet.

No comparison really, for me. The Invincible take a bit to break in and have all that ZoomX mellow out, but it’s more comfortable and useful in a similar lane to the Zoom Fly 5. I just found the ZF5 clunky and bulky even if comfy. A little too much going on with ZR-4 and recycled ZoomX, plus a carbon plate. It’s a Frankenstein’s monster and feels that way

That’s the main use for me. I’ve tried running in them but they are unruly for me. Just all over the place and unstable. But walking and standing…? BRILLIANT! I can rock these all day long and never feel like I took a step.

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by. Honestly, nope! These shoes are for performance and the foam is trying to rebound and push back. It’s too soft and your feet would be overworking inside the shoe. I honestly would go with something more like the UltraBoost 20 which you can find on crazy sale. They are stable, well cushioned, and feel great over long periods of time.

Excellent question! I can only answer for me… I can’t do the mushy ZoomX of the Invincible for too long. It weirdly starts pushing back against my foot because it’s just unrelenting. UB Light seems to react when I need it and mellow when I’m not putting force into it

Read a lot of complains about heel slip on these and other Nike Performance models which is a pity, it’s like all the new stuff coming out have that issue

It’s always gonna be 50/50 on features. You notice I never tell anyone to steer clear of anything because your feet are not my feet. That said, yes, the lockdown is difficult. Use the second lace hole for a “runners knot”-I improved the lockdown drastically, but it’s still a tough thing to get dialed in.

@@0Xenex0 it’s partly due to the massive ZoomX cushioning. What happens inside the shoe is your fit sinks a helluva lot and then raises back up. So the slipping isn’t because of push off, it’s because of sink down, in my estimation. A weird phenomenon of over-stack soft shoes. I don’t have that same problem in the Nimbus or AdiStar CS, because they are stacked but not as mushy as ZoomX.

On the look and feel, you’re not wrong; these are dope af! My only concern for you would be the instability when you initially try breaking them in. That big butt of ZoomX paired with the rounded edges of the outsole might feel a big unstable on repaired knees. I would say try them on and get a feel for them if you can, but what immediately comes to mind as an alternative would be the new ZoomFly 5. It’s really nice with that new SR04 foam + a ZoomX core. (I reviewed that one also)-it’s a thick cushy chunk like this but more stable. The lower stack and rocker geometry on the Infinity is great! The new Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is like the pure antithesis of this shoe, being lower, more stable, but lacking that cushy feel of ZoomX because it’s crushed and recycled. The newest regular Peg with React and ZoomAir could work.

You could get the pegasus 39 for the support. It has the double air zoom units with the react foam. It's very good for just walking(I use it for running and walking but mostly running). They also releasing the pegasus 40 this year but the 39 is fantastic to begin with. I bought one for my mother to use after work and everyday use. It's been working for her ever since.
