Thanks for your perspective Tim. Definite reviewer consensus that this is not the Turbo 3 but that's lost on me anyway. Happy to report I'm running again pain free! Super enjoyed 4 miles in my Novoblast 2 's this morning 🌅

I think comparison to the Turbo2 has reviews of this shoe all over the place. The naming was a mistake for Nike. That and people tend to hold Nike to a higher standard and grade them a little tougher. It’s a lightweight daily trainer and people are complaining about weight. I’ve seen so many shoe reviewers knock features of this shoe that they praise or don’t mind on other brands’ shoes.

I can definitely see why. I was pretty anxious to try these out because of the name sake and the Turbo 2 was and still is a favorite of mine. These are still a solid, lightweight daily trainer that I'm sure I'll rack up some miles in. Hey thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day.

Nike has had some interesting marketing choices in giving this the “turbo” name and even with the Zoom Fly 5 (and with both having that ZoomX name attached to their midsole) both cases seem to be not what people were expecting so it can be hard to take them for what they are

According to other reviews, this shoe does not have React foam. The second foam is SR02, the same foam that Nike has used in Vomero 15/16, Zoom Fly 5 and Zegama to protect ZoomX. It sounds like a comfortable daily trainer option but these days there are so many to choose from considering Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 is just a little more expensive but has wider use cases. You can even grab a Vaporfly Next% 2 at discount sometimes.

Hey thanks for pointing out the SR02 foam. Nike doesn't list what the carrier foam is that they are using. I had went with Running Warehouse and their description. I purposely avoid watching other reviews of shoes until I've posted mine. I agree with you on all the great options out there. I've got the Rebel V3 coming soon and the Novablast 3 on backorder. Both are great daily trainer options as well. The Vaporfly Next% 2 has been my go to for race day. I'm still evaluating the AlphaFly 2. I've got a little over 100km on them and I'm still not sure they are a better option than the VaporFly for me on race day. Hey thanks again and have a great day.

Good to hear your thoughts on this one. Hope don't mind but borrowed your conclusion for a sort of a review of the reviews. Seems to be dividing opinion somewhat. Like you I am generally liking it however and on each of my 4 runs so far have basically done all the things I normally do - long run, interval session, relatively fast continuous run, easy run and both on road and on some light trail. Did well enough in all of them just like how I used to use the Turbos. I think mine have softened a bit after now almost 40 miles. Have you found that yet? Only caveat to that is some ground feel under my toes which is sort of welcome and indeed how remembered the original versions.

Hey Tim. No worries mate. I don’t have 40 miles in them yet. I’ve been putting miles in the AlphaFly 2 and VaporFly 2 lately trying to pick one for the Detroit Free Press Marathon Next month. I’m leaning toward the VaporFly 2 but I still have time. Love your channel! Keep up the great vids!

@@RunTall I did a session in the Vaporfly 1 yesterday which reminded me why I like them so much so it has always been Vaporfly over Alphafly for me. I have raced in the Vaporfly 2 and did fine but the fit for my narrow foot is better in the 1 and a bit lighter. 64 miles now in the Turbos too. Won't be racing in them for sure but still finding "fun" to run in but probably won't be for everybody especially with that "ground feel".

I like the Gel Nimbus 24 over the Pegasus Turbo Next Nature. I like the impact protection that I get from the 24. The Turbo Next Nature is an okay daily trainer but maybe overpriced for what you get. There isn't anything wrong with it, it's just okay when it comes to the midsole ride. The 24 feels really natural to me. It's not a sexy looking running shoe, that for sure. But it performs well and is a very comfortable ride. Thanks Ivan. Have a great day.

I got the chance to try this out at the store. As you said, it’s competent. But between Pegasus and Vomero, I don’t really understand why Nike released this product.

Hey Vincent. I agree with you. It feels more of a gimmick playing on the recycling of ZoomX foam. It’s a decent daily trainer but isn’t a stand out. Have a great day.

I was considering sizing down since they do seem a-little long for me. I could only get away with it with a slim sock if I were to. Would you say the eventually there’s any give in the upper loosen up and stretch out even a-little?

Hey thanks for letting me know about the SR02. Nike didn't list the carrier foam in their description. The only site I could find that mentioned the carrier was the description at Running Warehouse. should I get the Turbo Next Nature over the Pegasus 39? I can get the TNN for ~60€-ish while the cheapest Pegasus 39 pair would run me 85€

No I wouldn't. I think the Pegasus 39 is going to be a better choice for most runners. I like the Pegasus Turbo Next Nature just fine but I think the Pegasus 39 has proven itself to be a solid daily trainer. Have a great day.

How about nimbus 24 or triumph 19 as compared to this turbo?

Hey thanks for the question. The Turbo's are much lighter but not as cushioned. Both the Gel Nimbus 24 and the Triumph 19 are max cushion daily trainers built mostly for those easy long run days when pace isn't much of a concern. The Peg Turbo Next Nature is a quicker daily trainer option but you do get more road feel underfoot. Have a great day.

From watching a few reviews of this shoe on here , The consensus seems to be that it's a daily trainer - IMO it's far too expensive for a daily trainer and there are so many other cheaper options out there.

Nike give very little stats on this shoe because of the poor build quality they vary from shoe to shoe. The left and right shoes can even vary in weight by quite a margin but a lot of reviewers are failing to mention this because of their luv for Nike. Puma Velocity Nitro 2 is a better shoe and it a lot cheaper.
