wAIR Max! Cool seeing you review these. Really enjoy these on board and the general feel. Didn't get any hotspots on my foot too after some heavy sessions on them, too. Love how light they are too but it does have a chunkier look. The 1st one was also nice on board, but it was quite narrow in comparison and I ripped through my laces way faster than expected. And appreciate the history with the Air Flare colorways. Would love to see some AM98 colorways on these, but I'm sure we'll see some PRM models like the 1s. Awesome content as always!

Love your review, very in depth specially with things a lot of other people don’t really talk about. I don’t skate this style of shoes, but I can def appreciate how from the height of the shoe to the heel chain unit to the way they layered the flick area, makes you feel like they actually designed it to perform best for skateboarding. Not just an over padded dunk with a sb embroidered in it. Ishod rules ❤🎉

It was great to hear what the actual shoe model/inspiration was. It makes a ton of sense seeing the vents on the toebox vs the vents on the side of the tennis shoe. Great vid man!

I have both the ishod 1 and 2. They both are probably my most favorite shoes I’ve bought in a long time. I love the 1’s but they knocked it out of the park with the 2’s (especially with that 90s colorway) They’re comfortable as hell and look great. I get compliments on the every time I wear em.

Thank you for reviewing this brother, I was quite confused also after owning the 1st model these I find would look amazing in a Concord colorway also the fact it's a bit more elevated helps a lot as the originals are way too flat for me because I have to put orthotics in my shoes!

I just bought a sample pair of this shoe! At an outlet. It’s without suede, green oily bubble logo, thicker outsole and some other small differences. It has tags with comments about it like measurements and designer names, pretty cool shoe.

At first glance, I thought the inspiration was from the Air Pippen 3 sideview looks, because of the red part and the little swoosh. Those look nice but the toebox seems a little squared.

I would say I like the second iteration better, as a bit of a wide footer skateboarder (not very good getting my bearings back as I stopped skating years ago) I really enjoy the wider last, I have the Ishod 1s and they were so tight in the toe box for me, glad I have some wiggle room in these. Anyways I’d have to agree Chris, a NY Plain slice is always a go to and almost every time I go to NYC I grab one. Keep the skate shoe reviews coming!

The Ishod ones aren't as comfortable as I wanted them to be. I like the Nyjah 2's are very comfortable. These look they would be more comfortable than the Ishod 1s. Thank you for reviewing this.

I enjoy my Ishod 1s….but I have to use them sparingly. Used them for work and for some weird reason the forefoot flex zone on the left pinches the big toe and it hurts! Love the look of the 2s and the air flare is a classic beauty to use and inspiration. Love the 180 inspiration too. Doesn’t Nike have that Flyleather thing…or did they ditch that? Couldn’t they have used it for the leather parts of the shoe, especially since it was touted to feel like real leather? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Saw this a couple days ago and am quite impressed. Thought they were tennis shoes (it just had that look and feel at first glance).. until I saw the SB logo. The air unit under the insole is just so cool Off topic I hope you can get Jodi to maybe review the womens Nike Versair (the front air pod units) just intrigues me as they're placed like in the Alphafly 2 and 3 road racing sneakers.

Honestly one of the best lines Nike has came with in the last 5 years. Totally agree once you break in the ishod1 it’s honestly the best daily shoe I hope my black/gums last forever. Got a lot of love for these tho can’t wait for mine to come in.

I also got air max running vibes from these, as opposed to the Jordan 5 low vibe I got from the first version. As far as pizza goes, I’d say sausage and pepperoni with white sauce from round table. That’s my favorite chain pizza, but here in Sacramento, the best pizza is Luigi’s!!! A simple pepperoni pizza is ambrosia from the gods, but you might get your car stolen going in to get it😂 as it’s in Oak Park.

I call em the Wairmax. Lol I'm glad these are getting a review. I had the first model and will be picking these up. I wish they had zoom units in the heel instead, but otherwise, I like them. I don't care for the leather material bc it looks like plastic. Otherwise, the shoe is dope.

Fun fact. Where I’m from in Canada apparently has some of the best pizza places in the world. ( Windsor Ontario ) is my neighbouring city. I didn’t believe it until I went to Chicago back in the day did a grade 9 trip. We went to a “ famous pizza restaurant “ according to my teachers….and less to say, I didn’t like it at all. I felt like I was eating cardboard with cheese on top… I’ve since tried a few pizza places in the US. But nothing comes close to the pizza we have in my home town and neighbouring city. It’s actually crazy.

My fav pizza is always gonna be from Godfathers Pizza. Gotta get the Classic Combo if you find one of their spots, they're mainly in the Midwest. Thick crust, Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom and Onion...magical :)

Fun fact (maybe I am remembering it wrong, but I swear its true) the Air Jordan 1 from back in 85 had an insole kind of like that - with the air unit. I remember taking them out to show my friends, "See, it has air cushioning". I could be wrong because no one that reviews AJ1's has ever mentioned this

This question may be stupid, do skaters dislike when non skaters wear skate sneakers with no intention to use them on a board? Growing up I always wore dcs and various other skate brands but never fully learned to skate. Would it be frowned upon to buy these for casual wear because I really dig the design on these.

The reason why they could have mixed inspiration from tennis and basketball shoes: I realized in languages like Brazilian Portuguese and maybe even in Spanish as well 'tennis' is used as a word for any sneaker.... maybe there had been a person in marketing who forgot about that.😉

As a 90s skater, I did not wear my skate shoes to chill or go to school. Skateboarding was not as "cool" then and not accepted. That's how alot of us got into other shoes/sneakers cuz we'd go out to parties or chill, not wear skate shoes... for me personally, I like these way more than the 1s. And I do have them. It's all preference tho. Where I am an 8.5 in sb dunks, 8.5 in these I have alot of room in length and could go down to an 8.

Definitely not the case in the Bay Area. Skating wasn’t just popular, it was everywhere. Skate shoes were worn all day every day.

@@ulpsb Wow, that's insane. In our larger cities like SF skaters definitely weren't welcome on majority of the properties -- to the point where there are anti-skating blocks on anything that can possibly be used to skate on -- but I don't ever remember that type of behavior.

The first ones were so narrow on me. I felt like I was stuffed into narrow Italian slippers. Rolled my ankle hard in them. The width on these interests me. And I don’t even have wide feet.

The toe area didn't feel narrow width wise to me but weirdly enough it felt short vertically. Like the top of the toe was flatter than usual and was really constrictive on my toes and ball of my foot. Didn't matter how I tied the shoe, the toe area was stitched to hold its shape. Really hurt after 10 minutes of skating. The Air Max looks taller though so that might work better for me.
