In this video we talk about skate shoes. Nike Sb VS Vans.
From both of these companies I’ve had lots of pairs of shoes. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to make this video. Chances are pretty high that both of these shoe companies can be found in your favorite skate-shop. They’re pretty much amongst the most popular skate shoe brands.Which one supposedly disrupted the skateboarding industry? Which one is a better skate shoe. What company should you support? How do you even buy skate shoes? What does life even mean? Anyone knows that there is a huge controversy around Nike sb. Vans is a core skateboarding company so they are all good. The representative skate shoes in this vid were the; Nike Sb Stefan Janoski hyperfeels and the; Vans Gilbert crockett 2's. With Every Pair of skate shoes you buy it's gonna be different but there are definitely some general assumptiones about the shoes. So wether you should buy nike sb or vans that's actually up to you... Buying a pair of nike sb's or vans is probably not going to dissapoint you anyways.

Bálint Ignác this is an old comment but I agree. I also feel that Nike’s construction is overall better than vans. I’ve skated Nike dunks, vans sk8 hi and old skull and find that nikes quality is overall better.

I think it’s because the “cool” skaters seem to be the older ones. And the older skateboarders want us to support skate brands so they can keep skateboarding going but I think that’s not the case anymore because Nike sb does a lot for the skateboarding community so at this point, people just want to seem cool

I love the feel of the Janoski SBs. Amazing board feel imo. But I blow through the side wall with ollies alone very quickly I feel - few weeks of skating and I got a hole. I also only know like 5 tricks so maybe that's why

I started skating vans when I first got my sb it was alright and really comfortable for cruising. However as soon as I started “ollieing” by the 9-10 th Ollie i got a hole in my shoe. I kept skating them and found some nike shoes at a skate shop (I had no idea they sold sb shoes) it’s been more than 6 months with my sbs I recently started kickflipping and only got my laces ripped. I really recommend Nike’s but I have to say vans are a lot more grippy when it comes to cruising and mini ramp trucks

In our shoe sizes, I wear a 44, and while I couldn't find any info in the average size here, most men I know wear around 38-42 In USA numbers this would be around 7½ and 10½ So maybe our feet are naturally smaller? Again, I couldn't find any official information :/

In Australia, Nike SB shoes are generally cheaper than Vans. Our SB's price around 80 - 160 bucks (AUD) with Vans' pricing at 120 - 230 bucks, unless you scout out and find some cheaper pairs on sale or something.

Also converse are awful to skate with and they look like clown shoes. Dcs are ok, ive only skated their canvas thin shoes but they were pretty good. The Etnies jameson vulc was my first proper skate shoes, they were comfy but the toe shape was bad and the insole wasn't great. Atm I skate the Adidas busenitz vulc, its a great looking, durable shoe with a great insole. I love it

@@luccaoklopcic5851 Buy leather Vans when they're on sale. I'm pretty aggressive on my shoes compared to most (I can put a hole in reg. Vans day 1) but it takes a good 4+ months to put holes in leather Vans. They last over 6 months of regular wear (5+ hours skating every week.) Plus Old Skool's look so much nicer than 95% of the other skate shoes out there.

pros are better than classics for actual skating, but both are good for casual wear. pros have better cushioning and are more durable, so that's why i personally like them better.

I had a pair of vans for skating a couple months back, ripped to shreds in a week as it wasn’t the “skater version” even though they looked the same. Puma suedes are the best shoes I’ve ever skated in, they last months even for the hardest skaters and are incredibly cheap

BASSKID Company calls them NIE-KEE. But to be fair, Americans say Adidas weird. Americans should say Adi-das and Europeans should say Nie-Kee. And we can all be friends! :-)

I wear what's on sale because skate shoes only last me a month of skating and I don't have a sponsor so I just gets what ever is comfortable and most durable at a reasonable price so I can stock up I love skating both brands and all skate brands it's good to try everything to find what you like and are comfortable with instead of wearing what's popular.

ok, my nike sb teared a bit in a couple of month without skating, and pair of not pro vans lived for 3 years of walking and now im skating in them. and one more thing - nikes was 3 times more expensive... but i really love nikes for snowboarding and jogging =P
