Nikita Gusev LOOKING To Return To The NHL? Are The NJ Devils BRINGING him back?

Күн бұрынAre the New Jersey Devils Looking Into bringing Back Nikita Gusev. Their was an interesting tweet that came out today from Devils reporter who said Nikita Gusev is At Devils Development Camp and of course it was quickly said he was here training.
My question is why would a KHL player who contract has expired be here training? Gusev has been a very effective player the past 3 seasons in the KHL producing well over a point per game in each 3 seasons. Can the Devils be looking outside the box to fill their top 6 role, will they make a trade at some point or sign a free agent thats left over

I doubt Gusev returns to the Devils but, I wouldn't mind if they would sign him.

If I see Gusev skating next to Jack Hughes for even one shift I will either scream, laugh, or cry and probably do all three. He's fishing for an official professional tryout I'm sure. I don't see how he'd fit in here even if he proves himself. We have plenty of bottom-6 lineup players after getting Noesen and Cotter and don't need a guy who would have to prove himself to be a third line depth scorer at best.

Wow great guy but he is kinda a slow skater. He is very good passer down low and good shot. I hope he can stay in America. He must want out of Russia. Russians are also flying into Mexico city and trying to make it over the border to seek Asylum. I wish him a lot of luck!! Go Goose maybe Utah or Washington. Utica Devs!

I agree Andy not the fastest or best skater, but was elusive and can find holes out there, great passer. Hes probably trying to get back in the NHL with some team if not the Devils

I know, sometimes players just need extra time. He was good first year with us then fell off, who knows, team added bulk to support our smaller forwards, this is interesting
