We're going over Boston Bruins d-man Nikita Zadorov's recent comments on the Vancouver Canucks' usage of Elias Lindholm.

@cheetohands9 that's true, but Lindholm has proven he can put up top 6 numbers multiple times. He was underachieving in Vancouver by his standards and what management thought he would be producing. Might as well sign somewhere where he feels like he can play to his potential. Kind of makes Alvin look bad with how much was given up to trade for him tho

Zadorov owes about 30 million to the Canucks. He was riding the bench or on the bottom pair in Calgary. He cashed in on Tocchet's system. Either this is overblown, or Zadorov is starting to believe his hype.

@Steveriknows definitely overblown. I'm paraphrasing Zadorov here, "Lindholm didn't really fit his normal role in Vancouver too well and wanted a new opportunity." If that is seen as some type of scathing statement, then we have definitely regressed as a species.

I ain't surprised and I ain't mad at him. Nor do I even think this is a big deal. He's saying the things he should be saying backing his guy on his team. If this was the reverse situation, I'd want him to say these things. Zadorov is just that guy. All the best to him and Lindholm this coming season, but may they not get a W when they play the Canucks lol.

I don't think there was anything negative in what he said. He just commented on how his teammate has new opportunities he didn't have because of circumstance. He's not laying blame or digging at anyone. It's just how it is.

I for one have never been sold on Zadorov or Lindhom long term and think their contracts are going to age very poorly. The Nucks chose to commit less only to a younger player with more upside and they didn’t any other long term contracts that are going to hurt them.

Nah dude sounds to me like he was just saying because of circumstances he didn't get to fill his normal role. It's just common sense that because of the make-up of the Canucks there was no space for him there. Nobody's fault just facts I think.

I agree. I don’t feel it was a slight against the team, I think he was stating a fact too. I think Lindholm will get to play the position he wants in Boston and in Vancouver, we had other players for top line centre.

What Zadorov said was no different than what the critics of the Lindholm trade said the entire time - he is a very good player but the trade didn't fit. The Canucks needed a winger, and they brought in a center. They tried to fit him onto a line with Petey and that did not work. He found a role in the playoffs playing on the third line, but the Canucks were not going to pay a guy top-line money playing 3C. There was nothing wrong with what Zadorov has said - LIndholm was not the right fit - both sides moved on, that's that. By the way, I noticed in your game play you had a player named Bindy Johal - you know that was a gangster and he was shot and killed, right? Why create a player of his likeness to appear in your game?

Lindholm is a better C than Petterson Erikkson had 1 good year in Boston before Benning gave him 6x6 Lindholm has history of being a good producer especially with skilled players

Let me tell you fellow and Vancouver fans. Zadorov is going to go back to what he was in every city he played in prior to Vancouver. I still cannot see why Vancouver fans think he was worth retaining at anything more than 3 million. Lindholm looked old and slow to me forthe most part. His best years have to be behind him and I will say far behind. Still the Vancouver d is weaker and will allow far more goals this season..imo.
