Visual Kei is a very underrated quarter of music and metal in general. Their outlandish and extreme costumes can often overshadow how talented the musicians and songwriters really are. But all you need to do to prove it is listen to VK albums and ignore the aesthetics.

Fun fact: in Japan producers know each other and they are a "few", a decent amount of them like yuyoyuppe works for Babymetal, and almost all of them have had a solo project under some alias that was focused on Vocaloid Metal music, these producers well, produce everything on their own. And if you listen to their old songs, you can see these experimental stuff being done and practiced long time ago on their own. A few honorable mentions you should check out are: -yuyoyuppe -MuryokuP -OkameP -yokomin -UtsuP These guys keep themselves VERY busy. For instance: yuyoyuppe has another solo project in which he works as a dj called DJ tekina besides working for babymetal as a producer. UtsuP has his own band called OHAYOUGOZAIMASU and has also done some dj sets remixing his vocaloid songs. MuryokuP started focussing on producing music for VideoGames of course still in Japan. Nick if you read this I'd love to see your reaction and thoughts on some Vocaloid Metal stuff. I wouldn't know where to begin to suggest a song to react to.. I guess I'd suggest UtsuP - OGRE.

For people that enjoy Deathcore, Utsu-P is definitely the best pick out of the bunch. OGRE is a good call, or maybe MiKUSABBATH. Conveniently, there's also a compilation album of Utsu-P's best "shits", with "骸Attack!!" (Corpse Attack) being the most viewed on Spotify. Yuyuyoppe also has a new metal band called Naked Identity Created by King (N.I.C.K. for short) and Vivid Candy is their newest most popular song which mixes electronic and trap influences - although maybe Seed would be more in tune for a Nik reaction due to its striking resemblances to BMTH's music. They are way more popular on Japan and could really use the views on YT!

The venom blegh thing I guess it has to do with their accent, cause in japanese, the letter V in english is pronounced as B, as in Bideo instead of Video, so the vocalist may or may not said Benom instead of Venom, which may or may not make it sound more like bleghnom

Way late here, but in regards to the “bleh” not equaling “venom”, I feel like half the lyrics on Converge’s Jane Doe album are the exact same way. Still love it.

Japan has been a breeding ground for great visual kei metal for over 2 decades now. Visual kei, and Japanese music in general, mixes a lot of genres, like dubstep in this particular song.

@disthymia6929 yeah I like bands like Lynch. And the GazettE. Also Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas although they aren't Visual Kei but are very dubstep inspired and I would call if Electric Callboy did twice the amount of drugs they already do

Well, these guys are playing a METAL-METAL. They are like an EVERYTHING-CORE band😁😁 they literally have combined EVERYTHING from a metal world. All the possible styles and additional elements in one huge "WTF-cocktail". Absolutelly fuxkin unbelivable!🔥🔥

@ournextarc
@ournextarc 8 ай бұрын
@@RosieK65 I listened to the first few singles and it wasn't my thing. I've been struggling with all DEG work and side bands since Dum Spiro Spero. Nothing has hit the right way for me and it doesn't feel as exciting or experimental compared to newer acts. I'd love to see DEG take a stab at djent/thall inspired sound like they were getting to before Arche but then suddenly went almost radio friendly. I think it also involved Kyos vocals getting hurt though so its also been kind necessary for them too?
@RosieK65
@RosieK65 8 ай бұрын
I get it. I’m really liking PB and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that I’m a huge MUCC fan. I think your point with Kyo is spot on though. Have you watched the OneTake videos with LiME singing with other singers? I’ve got faves, I’m just curious to know, if you’ve seen them and which are your faves? I’m in no way a music elitist, and if something is good regardless of genre, I’m in. Everyone likes what they like.
