@@trvezifer8837 understandable, the core fanbase doesn’t seem to get along well with the rest of the metal fanbase. I for one don’t get why a lot of them hate albums like this, this has a ton in common with melodic death metal
@trvezifer8837
@trvezifer8837 3 жыл бұрын
@@spiggly_digg yeah, me neither. Apparently it's not real metal because it has roots in hardcore? But who tf cares? I myself listen to a lot of different stuff from punk rock and heavy metal over core to both classical and modern death metal, the only thing I can't really get into is black metal because of the unique style of vocals (not saying it's bad, just not for me). And I get so much shit for it. And I just don't understand it. Yeah, I like atmospheric, melodic stuff but I also like breakdowns, I can appreciate something more simple as much as I appreciate technical and complex riffage and song structures. What's wrong with that? Let people enjoy what they enjoy. What does it bother anyone else if you like different styles of music? Sorry, that turned into a little rant. 😅

I'd love to see you react to either Black & Blue or Medusa from this album. They both have amazing guitar solos, and Medusa probably has the heaviest breakdown they've written.

Personally my favourite song from this album. This was the first deathcore song that I ever liked, back when I still wasn't used to songs this heavy. Slowly I started to listen to the rest of Count Your Blessings and now I have reached the point where no metal song is too heavy for me.

This album will always be my favourite by BMTH just for the nostalgia. I was 12 when this album came out when I was just getting into heavy music. The band was also so young when they recorded it as well, I think they did a good job for a first album and I think it holds up well.
