This album is exactly what I needed. Bummed there isn't a hard copy out but I purchased the digital one. Howard and Jared are great. I remember my first time hearing Howard was on the way to San Fransisco. I was heading to the ferret records tour with Zao headlining. This was one of those moments for me.

idk, i really like the vocals from howard because how could i not but the riffs feel too 'djenty' , i'ld like sth more heavy or some more expirimentation, maybe even just more contrast between heavy and light parts to make the heavy parts hit harder. Not a single song sounds bad, but not a single song has something that sounds unique to me that pulls me in to listen to it again after listening through the album a couple times.

This record is fantastic. Nik’s words of, “it would have been nice to get a guitar solo,” sums up my overall feelings toward it though. This album for I’d say 90% of it feels like it’s just Howard Jones ft. Jared Dines versus Howard + Jared = SION. I kind of wish there were more instrument focused moments. I mean every guitar solo could basically be doubled in length frankly. It’s a KILLER album full of amazing songs. A solid 8/10 I’d say, but I hope if they do another they aren’t afraid to let Jared be a focus more.

how to make the best fluffy pancakes It all starts with the batter. Too thick and they will be gluggy and undercooked on the inside. Too runny, and the pancakes will spread out and won’t fluff up. I like to test the batter with my spoon or ladle, lifting it gently above the rim of the bowl. It has to be thick BUT able to run slowly and nicely off of the spoon. A couple of lumps is okay, but I do like to smooth out my batter as much as I can gently with a wire whisk.
