Kinda same with me, only I stopped watching for 3-5 years, but Jokic pulled me back in. But, I only watch Denver.

He is fast..he is simply a huge man and he needs too much energy for something like this..and there is no need to spend when he can always pass the ball and make a score..😊

The only candidates for MVP right now are Jokic, Luka, and SGA. Giannis played bad in the beginning of the season and he has Lillard taking away votes from him. Embiid is injured and he’s probably gonna miss the 65 game minimum to win any awards. So we’ll see as the season progresses. If SGA and Luka ever miss time or have a stretch where in they play bad, then it’s gonna be Jokic’s 3rd MVP. (Should have been 4 straight MVPs but he got robbed last year.)

@@redgigo Triple doubles aren’t nearly as important nowadays as they were when they were a rarity, for starters, and secondly SGA is a 6’6 combo guard. He isn’t expected to average a near triple double. Regardless of that, he’s the best player on the second best team in the nba and he’s averaging 31 points on 55% shooting while also being dominant on the defensive end. Jokic is great but SGA is just as if not MORE deserving. OKC is still one of the youngest teams in the nba. Also SGA dominated Nuggets in their last match up.

Simply put, Val actually has skills other than his height. He's consistently been a 15-and-10 guy for the latter half of his career, on good efficiency too. Plus, he only looks particularly slow compared to Jokic, who actually tends to be way faster than most centers his height. It's always been a bit of a mistake to consider Jok slow, he just doesn't push himself unless he needs to.

Nah, the # of dribbles doesn't really matter. What matters is that a player is able to score the basket while (in the judgement of the scorer), progressing toward a shot between the time they get the ball and their bucket. A player can dribble 3-4 times and the passer still get credited with the assist if the player was able to make a fairly continual motion toward the basket. You see this a lot on Jokic+Murray assists, where Jokic hands off and Murray takes 3 dribbles while also using Jokic as a screener to get to his spot. Jokic always gets credited with an assist. Pretty much the only way you don't get credited with an assist in the NBA is if the guy you pass to engages in an obvious iso 1-on-1 staredown. It's just became so likely players do that in modern NBA, even if they had a wide-open shot when they caught the pass, that it depressed assist numbers for like last 25 yrs. Sometimes I think one of the reasons Stockton, Nash, and Kidd were such good assisters is also because they'd constantly bark at their teammates to take the shot. Because when you have a good PG (or Center, hah) who gives you crisp passes right on the numbers, you should either go up with it, or pump fake and then drive. Either way you're getting a better look than if you hold the rock and wait for an iso situation to form.

If Embiid misses misses any more games very high chance Jokic gets. If Luka’s team record doesn’t improve likely Jokic gets
