To be honest, I don't care about if he's good or one of the most tallented ever I'm just completely shocked about how different he is, I have never seen a player like him, so technical gifted but still looks so raw and weird, unathletic and slow but unstoppable. He is one of a kind.

Jokic is what happens when you master the fundamentals. A good example of what happens when you don't have fundamentals or honed skills, and just rely on athleticism is russell westbrook.

Kobe was someone that breathes basketball. He worked tremendously hard on all aspect of the game, especially during his off days. Jokic is almost nothing like that. He is like that genius kid that hardly reads the material after class but still gets a 4.0 GPA at the end of the semester. Even when you hear the stories from his newer teammates during their workouts/practice, most would question if he is really that good 😂. Its just that his mind has already figured out the game.

He is a pro. No doubt about that. And he did train very regularly during the summer - taking care of his body and his game. He's just not a fanatic, more of a something like the Mailman type of attitude - he just does the job and then rides back to his ranch. But he's 100% pro. And yeah, his out of this world talent really helps.

Giannis, on the other hand, could fall off the moment that athleticism fades since his game is so reliant on it. And just from a pure entertainment point of view, Jokic's style of play is much more unique and entertaining than Giannis's

He's just an efficient well oiled machine, no wasted movements. With his huge basketball IQ he looks at the court in front of him and knows whether he needs to pass or back somebody down in an instant. Every Denver possession is so valuable with the way Jokic controls the game. Which is why opposing teams fall far behind when they don't make good use of their offensive possessions.

He reminds me of Robert Parish when he's sprinting up the center of the floor straight to the basket, Running the old 1980's Celtics Fast Break, just having the big man beat everyone else up the court for easy lay ups and put backs. And then Larry Bird when he's on top with the ball in his hands, picking the defense apart and taking it himself, almost unstoppably, when he needs to. Old School Basketball still works. It just helps when you're 7 feet tall with guard skills and are also a shooter. They can throw so many different looks at you, like the old Celtics and Lakers. Just Grind it out in the half court, (inside, mid range, outside, what ever they want), and then sprint and fast break you to death. It's fun to watch something other than people just launching 3's
