High RPM range because of the small pistons (as a general rule, the smaller the piston = lighter weight = higher RPM range)

⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠@@rh6761that’s actually not due to weight but velocity, a long stroke engine will hit 20m/s at 8-9000 rpm while a short stroke engine will hit 25m/s at 20000 rpm, mass is a problem for inertia, big piston that weighs a lot = high inertia = bad cornering and huge vibration and big piston = high inertia = higher chance to break rod/crankshaft and if you lighten your piston you’ll reach your peak rpm faster but it’ll not help you make more rpm

@@bharper2840 yes mf i know there are rc cars with that V8. But I was talking about the issue with weight and the amount of heat it produces (you can't go without a cooling system). So don't babble uselessly 🤓

For those who want to know yes you can have an engine like this in your car but it does cost a lot of money from the engine crate to the blower itself, and my unit. None of these things are going to be as easy from putting on timing belt or exhaust, so yes the engine you see are miniature but in a realistic aspect, it’s amazing

Thies are nifty, and as a machinist i can appreciate all the work that went into this... But to charge over $2000 is insane! You can get an entire real V8 for that...with a car attached as well! Even for just the single cylinder motor is about $399, you can get a name brand NEW rc Saito or OS engine for less than that but can actually be used for a hobbie
