Love it Nikol. I think it shows the real you. Honey, you are human, life happens to each of us. We hit roadblocks and you do too. You are bigger than life to many people but you are just human. So you can afford to buy things most of us can’t even dream of buying. You do teach us all how to look better and realize just because we are aging not to give up trying. There are several ladies at my church that baffles me. I was shocked when I found out I was older than they were. They dress old, no makeup, no thought of the clothes they wear. Listen I’m all about comfort but I try. You are inspiring and I’m so happy I get to watch you. 😊❤

Today I needed some “booster news” after returning from a 10 day extended family vacation and I am in recovery. I can relate to your not feeling it in many areas. Worry for pets is very stressful and doesn’t help the situation - they feel what you feel. Your quick makeup tutorial was great when you switched to the closet and said I need a little belt I wasn’t looking and took it for another kind of ‘belt’. I used to always find something I loved at J Crew and their failure and disappearance from the malls MAY have something to do with why you’re so disappointed in the Quality of the clothes you bought “unseen” online!

Ok I too had a mustache all of most of my life until I went to work at a salon that had an electrologist and had it removed permanently, my self esteem went up and I felt so much better, now I did not have to wax all the time, it took about a year. I am now 81 yrs old and still no mustache. I love your videos and watch all the time and have learned so much about face care and makeup. Thank you and stay happy because you make all of us happy to see your smiling face.

The quality of the clothes is declining so much. I am only buying vintage because the quality is so much better. I can get a St John knit vintage for the same money and it’s amazing quality.

@@NikolJohnsonExactly. The only thing I buy new now are the basics like white tshirts and white jeans. I Scotchguard my white jeans at the beginning of spring summer after soaking them in white out to remove any discoloration. Otherwise, I’m strictly vintage because you can count on the quality.

Loved watching your vlog this morning! My small city no longer has a mall….. so we have to travel 75 miles to get to one . Watching you with your daily issues brings awareness that retail problems exist everywhere. Understand how you wanted to bring back to store after ordering on line. I made that mistake twice, the store could not accommodate. Your efforts show all how difficult it can be. You did bring home something nice! So enjoy your new favorite candle!

Loved your vlog!! You showed us the “ less than perfect” day that life dealt you. Hauling that box around the mall is so “ me”…..forgetting my gift card in the car….wearing too many clothes and sweating ! Ugh! The difference is ( as a newly retired uni prof) I have no expendable income, am downsizing my wardrobe, and any $$ goes for my 2 grands arriving this fall. Deep breath Nikol, you are authentically living your best life…not perfect, a bit messy, but finding “yellow” in your day. Your babes are adorable and feeding fresh is the best gift!!! My holistic vet hD mine on a supplement concoction to support liver and immunity due to yeast overgrowth…do much better. PS. I survived 8 years i fertility regiment, birthed 5 lost one to SIDS, and 3 miscarriages. We deserve to LIVE this season of life for us!!! Candles are choosing what makes you joyful. I just can’t have them around my pets. Living a healthy, non toxic life everyday…turned 67 in May😃🌸

You could NEVER disappoint. Show that you're HUMAN! I've always been called the "come-back " kid, and the older I get the more apt I am to have a snappy comeback to any rude remark. I've also learned to simply say " thank you" for a compliment 😊. BTW, the sweater could've been smaller, but I still liked it. I had one in my twenties. And I LOVE ❤ your nails.

Love this as it shows the real you in every day. I dislike mall shopping also but my gosh, it is fun to see new things you wouldn’t experience just shopping on line. And yes, a lot of clothing lines just don’t fit real women over 50 who have lost estrogen (bye bye waistline). Seeing the real you in the morning dirty hair and all is very humbling. I’m not there yet, but I applaud you for putting it all on the line.

Dear Nikol Johnson, I truly enjoyed your vlog today. I confess it has happened to me that I've gone to a store in a mall to find it "not there anymore". I'm not usually a vlog person, but I do watch one other content creater who vlogs. It's like having a friend you check in with once a week. You could talk about anything really... the books you're reading, cooking, health & fitness, skincare and makeup trends for us older gals (I'm 61), modeling, your fur babies, traveling, music, fashion, hobbies, art, things you do in your spare time that bring you joy, Q & A with your audience, anything really. Let me just start by saying this was my absolute fav of all your videos...loved the candidness, sharing the vulnerable moments. Being a creative person myself, I have found myself wearing your same shoes many times and just wondering how to step outside that block I feel, but I have to say your vid today was absolutely awe inspiring...seeing you handle that large JCREW box and yet walking right on in the CH shop and owning it...and also their help breaking that box down and packaging you up just right :) I'm 74 now and enjoying the joy of it. I'm not a makeup wearer as I've always enjoyed just being in my own skin, but I LOVE all the makeovers you do for us. Please keep on providing more content just like this as this inspires us to know you are our "down to earth lady" :) OH AND P.S. you looked absolutely more radiant as the day went on :)

Please do more! It's so easy when getting frustrated by things like carrying all the J Crew stuff around because the store is permanently closed to think you're the only one that happens to. It makes it easier to deal with when I see that it doesn't just happen to me. And seeing that sweater on you helps me be gentler to myself when I try things on that look horrible. It's easy to think that you look amazing in anything when that's all we ever see. Seeing you in that sweater makes it clear that you look great in everything because you've curated your wardrobe and that's a skill that can be learned. You do have a way of coming across as a "friend" in your videos, makes me feel like we could go out to lunch and have a great visit.

Hope your Frenchies feel better. I have an English Toy Spaniel and he is my baby. It is so stressful when they need medical attention. He just had two teeth pulled. I love your nails.

Absolutely love your vlog! Such a wonderful change. I have always enjoyed your broadcasts but this is taking it to a new level, more human. If you wanted to incorporate makeup application, you could add a little something like you did with your morning routine. Will definitely continue watching and enjoying!

It's so nice to see that you have days when you don't feel "creative" and don't feel like being "perfect." I always feel like I need to wear all of my makeup in case I run into someone I know. Can't imagine being in your position knowing that people "expect" you to always look perfect and put together. You look gorgeous!

I love, love, love watching your makeup tutorials, but this vlog was a very nice change of pace. I often look at people around me and wonder what their day is going to be like and you gave us this opportunity. It was fun going to a store that I would never be able to shop at and would have like to see more of it. I think venturing out really lifted your spirit and you should do more of it and don’t forget to take us along😊. Your Frenchie is adorable.

The filmy skirt might look pretty layered over a lace or floral skirt. Think of it a fog over a garden look. sort of ethereal angel vibe. You looked great.

Okay, I loved this! I'm always interested in seeing how women I admire navigate their day. While we all may shop at different stores, we all share the same overall life hassles--returning things, debating over purchases, caring for our pets, trying to look and feel our best. And in every video I learn something from you. Every. Video. So, this vlog thing is a winner in my book!
