Nikon releases the latest iteration of their Z6 line, The Nikon Z 6III. Seth Miranda explains the upgrades to this new model that includes a new Partially Stacked Sensor, new Processor, RAW 6K Video, and more. The Adorama team went to Gleason's Boxing Gym in Brooklyn to test it in real-world situations.

When the Zf came out, some were saying it was kind of the Z6III. I'd like to see some comparison of those two.

Great and informative video Seth. The Z 6 III definitely brings it and knocks it out of the park. I’ll definitely keep this is mind to eventually replace my Z 6 II which I primarily use for video. Also with the X-Speed 7 processor using the Z 6 III with the Z 9 and Z 8 will be even more seamless. 😎📷

Great use case demonstration. So did you also shoot with electronic shutter, find you were getting banding from those lights and dialled in the tenth decimals of shutter speed to resolve that? I'm a film stills photographer on set and 99% of the time have to shoot silent with ES, and am between getting the Z8 and the Z6 III for this.

Hey Seth :) Thanks for a great opportunity to see the Z6III in a demanding available lighting situation... Did You use the, 3D Eye AF (like in the Z8) in the action Stills (I hope I said that correctly) ?? Always Great stuff :) :) :)

I used "Wide Area Large" so I had one big AF area for it to scan for eyes that i tapped left and rigth depending on the fighter I was looking to focus on

I shoot ice hockey (not pro) so the faster frame rate, better focus, and keeping the low light capability is really appealing, especially in badly lit ice rinks. I currently shoot with 2x Z6ii bodies. With a price tag sitting between the Z6ii and Z8 (here in Australia), it isn't an easy decision though. Maybe it will be worth waiting for a few hands-on reviews once available in the market.

I do film set work which is getting darker and darker ... what is the banding like with the Z6iii? I'm shooting Z7 with ISO 22,000, f8 and 1/400 ... and 'silent mode'. I get banding ... seems the Sony A9iii has a global shutter. Does the Z6iii have a global shutter to eliminate of reduce banding?

I am happy for all the video shooters out there but I held back ordering my backup body until I knew what the Z6iii has under the hood. I now ordered a Z8… I have a feeling that Nikon forgot about outdoor flash photography especially portrait and fashion. Where is the DNA that invented the CLS-System? Video seems all that matters currently and as a pure stills photographer it’s not my cup of tea. I WANT FASTER FLASH SYNC, NIKON!
