Greetings from South Africa....I usually catch your video within a day or posting, but Lens.Traveller, my wife and I ( aka: GONONDO) have been have been away in the Kgalagadi Desert in the Norther Cape.... I heard that they had received unusually heavy rain, so we snuck down there for a week to check things out... It's amazing what somne rain will do to a desert, which was totally transformed into what resembled a Savannah Grassland. The animals were all fat, sleek and gorgeous. We had two cheetah strikes...One where the coalition of 4 brothers took down a Springbok (Medium size anintelope) after a short, high-speed chase, and a few days later, they tried to take out another unsuspecting Springbok, but after a short, hard chase, in 38C heat, theynarrowly missed! I think that antelope is still running now, and it's heart-rate is still way up! The raptor population appeared in good numbers, was also healthy, feasting on a large population of resident rodents, and we even documented a few snakes being attacked, and consumed by a few Pale-chanting Goshawks, and Southern Pale-chanting Goshawks who are masters of the trade, similar to your Osprey popualtion, which was really special etc. Watching your great video now, I think you would have an absolute ball in sub-Saharan Africa, and hope you get some decent action when you do your trip to Africa later this year. Phenomenal photos and autofocus testing. I am loving everything I am seeing on the Z9. However, my bank account won’t allow a purchase for several more years. My D850 and 500mm PF are perfectly acceptable for now until the price comes down on the Z9.

Absolutely amazing, I am awaiting my Z9, and already use my 500pf on my Z6 and love the images I have managed to capture but can’t wait to try it on my Z9 when it comes, keep the brilliant videos coming.

I really don't know what it is, but every time I've watched Z9 footage, I realized that it just looks incredible dreamy, cinematic with outstanding quality. I guess it's all about the rendering and color science. But need to say that whatever Nikon is doing it just looks amazing.

That was one heck of a video. The last sequence was unbelievable. Looking forward to seeing the video on not so Sharpe images and the reasons why. Still waiting for my Z9. Three months or so and our Osprey and Eagles will be back. Right now it's snow everywhere and around -20.
