that spore play onto ogerpon was insane to watch live, an absolutely crazy read yet the way nils was so confident in it and just clicked it so fast, absolutely the highlight of the finals aside from nils sh*tting bricks

Man Incin-Amoonguss is so freaking strong... I've benn using them alongside Wellspring Ogerpon as my core in Reg G and so far so good. Rillaboom is really strong too but in a format with restricted legendaries, Amoonguss is just more reliable imo

man, it seems like Tim get nervous on the game 2, like hitting incineroar that does not have fake out on with close combat and not with surging strike, eventhough knowing Nils have flutter mane.

my guess is that he was predicting a switch into Urshifu, not Flutter Mane. It's still not a good move though.

@@abysslight2490 hmm, my best guess Tim think Nils inceneroar really bad for his team (Nils inceneroar built a bit faster than regular incenoroar, which i think kinda counter Tim inceneroar) so want to take care of it immediately. and because the incineroar have a berry, surging strike probably wont ko it.

VGC can be fun but there is still SO much balancing Gamefreak should do way better (bad example: giving 'Parting Shot' to an already OP Incineroar; good example: buffing snow, giving 'Wind Rider' to Shiftry, etc.) there were so many similar, even some mirror matches in this tournament and it simply makes it boring to watch PS: Rosie and Lou - very good job with the commentary tho!

He went for a couple of reads in game 1 like the tera stomping tantrum predicting the incin switch but nils kept throwing curveballs that made him second guess everything

The team needs to make better games. Customization, gameplay and story of scarlet and violet were super bad. They keep adding things and removing them in later games. I feel like at this rate Pal world will take over Pokemons spot, because they are being more original and creative. Meanwhile, this team that makes pokemon are uninspired and lazy now with how they wanna make games. They have the money to do it, to make the game something memorable, but they can't even do that. Fuck you pokemon, you've been failing for years. Arceus was a lesser monster hunter in terms of gameplay(story was just as boring) Like why take away something good from other games, to stack whatever trash you wanna put in like Tera typings? Tera types are worse than mega evolutions, worse than Z moves, fucking worse than gigamantix. Seriously, you make one step forward, then 8 steps backwards when making the games. At this point, making a full scale game would do you better than removing pokemon and cool features in the next games that have been around longer than your shit ideas for scarlet and violet. Pokemon has given up and it's apparent.

Ursaluna & Porygon 2 aren't all that common, so that's nice to see them in the Finals. There were lots of crazy teams Day 1, but sadly they just didn't keep up with the Meta teams.
