This song reminds me so much of a relationship I have with my best friend. I'm a girl, he's a boy, and we have been best friends for eight years. We even dated for three and a half years, and the entire time I felt like we were just really good friends. We never really had that spark but it was painful because we loved each other. I ended up breaking up with him after three years four months one week and three days. We grew apart and I missed him more than anything in the world. He went into other relationships and got his heart broken. I went into other relationships and broke other people's hearts. Almost exactly a year after I broke up with him he came crawling back to me, asking for friendship. All the feelings we shared came rushing back but I can't help but feel a hatred towards him for ignoring me for a year.
