Step by step tutorial on how to knit the central double increase
►►► VIEW THE FULL BLOG POST HERE: nimble-needles.com/stitches/c...
The central double increase is a great way to increase a project evenly from the middle. It does not lean to the left or to the right like other increases and it's worked through a single stitch. It's basically a combination of a KBF and M1L. So, if you know these, it's going to be super easy for you.
You start by knitting into the back loop. But don't drop the stitch yet. Instead, knit into the front loop as well. Then find the little strand between those two stitches, and pick it up with your left needle from behind, and knit it through the back loop. And there is your central double increase.
There are a couple of fun variation with a different look and feel, and I am going to show you altogether 4 variants and compare them for you.
