I see that I am very “late to the party” with this video being 1 year old, but all I can say is WOW! I am so inspired and excited about the master boards. This was my first time viewing your channel and I subscribed after just a few minutes. SO glad I found your channel!

here’s something I do when making ATCs. I have an ATC size template that I cut from clear acetate, then run a permanent marker round the edge. I can then use the template to move around the patterned paper to see which bit I want to use, it really helps to give an idea of what the finished ATC will look like. Hope that makes sense! x forgot to add, your makes are beautiful, so inspiring. Thanks for sharing x

I had never heard of a master board until a couple of days ago when it popped up in my feed. I've watched a couple vids and find the idea very interesting. The last time I was in a copy store was about a thousand years ago when I had a pillow pattern from a magazine enlarged. I'm a complete tech moron and it never would have occurred to me to have copies made of a master board. Well, now I have yet another item to add to my "Projects" list! Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. 👍🏻

These are really pretty. You make the best masterboards I've seen. I believe the problem with the pitting was because you used a water based glue between the back layers then when heated the moisture and steam were trapped under the layer of paper and the heated embossing powder. Next time try again without using the glue stick. I've ran into this type of problem before and it worked for me...

Good morning nina, did you notice I called the masterboard a motherboard last week...like them a lot, especially the ricepaper one, great idea, going to a printershop soon to ask them if they can do this too. Making things with them makes a project even more your one because the masterboard is your own creation. Enjoyed the video as always. The weather up here is wet, so today is a good day for creating. I am going to make a paper doll today for a book I am creating. See you in the middle of the week, have a nice sunday. Love lena

Haha, yes we both got muddled up last week as I referred to them as moodboards throughout the entire video! We knew what me meant didn’t we 😊. I really do enjoy working with these masterboards and especially the collage ones and adding more collage elements on top of the existing background. So much fun. I’m chuffed with the rice paper and look forward to using it next week, but even more excited about encaustic. See you soon and have a fabulous week 💕 xx

You truly are an inspiration, seeing your boards and the rice paper once back from printers was simply the best. Is it expensive I wonder. You seem mega lucky with such a helpful printer. Your talent is endless and I rush to watch your Sunday meet up. Watching is a joy thank you ❤❤❤👏👏👏

Thanks so much Wendy. No its not at all expensive. They charge £1 for the A4 size prints and £2 for the A3 ones. They charged £1.50 for the rice paper. You can also get copies like this done online by scanning your work and sending it to they will then post the copies out to you. Glad you are enjoying the videos 💕💕💕

When I use UTEE on a project I often add a VERY small amount of mica powder to the UTEE as it melts. When it's still in almost liquid form, I tip the paper and let the mica powder move around. It creates a beautiful layer. Lots of fun ideas in this and the master board videos. Thanks!

They turned out fantastically well! I think the dimples are because of the melting plastic stickers, they would heat at a different rate and /or do not dissolve into the embossing powder.

Yes, the pitting threw me as I’ve not experienced that problem before, but I love the addition of the gold as it made the ATC’s look so much more interesting. I’m doing encaustic on the cheap, but the tools I’ve been using seem to be working just fine 💕

That rice paper would be great for decoupage especially since you designed the whole page yourself. Do you ever use a frame made from card stock to outline different parts of your designed page to decide where and what to cut? You could cut them into any shape. New subscriber. Just love all your mood boards , and all the little things you have made, I still have mine to do ,, always late lol,,,, 😆 if ever you want your embossing powder to be smooth I was told to pour embossing powder while it’s still wet , you have to be quick so do one at a time , if bits are missed melt it again and pour embossing powder on again ,,,. Best to practice first ,, lol,,, Xxxxx 💕💕

Oh wowee love them all the ATC's came out great and the coins too. Master boards are so versatile.... Great projects xx😁😁❤️ Oh and how do find these great finds... Rice paper... I think I need some... I love rice papers especially Stamperia's so will be interested in seeing what you do with yours... As I'm always frightened of ruining the ones I have... 🙄 😳❤️

Thanks Elaine. I bought the rice paper for using on my gelli plate, but of course I got side tracked and it sat on the shelf for months. I’m so glad I tried printing on it though as this will be very useful for me. I hoard my Stamperia ones too as they are so expensive 💕 xxx

I love all your videos and this one is certainly no exception - lots of great ideas. I was so anxious to see what you did with these once completed, and I'm absolutely going to try some of these. I tried joining your Facebook group but, was unable to get the questions to pop up - perhaps because I'm working from an Android (just guessing). Anyway, I'll just continue watching your videos. You're one of my favorites.

Thanks so much Diane. That’s interesting that the questions didn’t pop up for you and may explain why we’ve had so many requests where the questions haven’t been answered. Can you please try joining again and I will look out for your request and add you to the group 💕

Nina, have you ever used Layout Paper? I use it for photocopying copyright-free images and it has a lovely sheer and fine texture and so lovely for decoupage/ collage. It also comes in A3 - I buy the Daler Rowney. pad(s) and you get a lot of sheets, and, unlike the rice paper, it's the correct size. Worth a look?
