Nine out of ten UK pension funds get worse returns than a simple tracker following the FTSE All-Share index, new research has shown.
Analysis from AJ Bell found that 91% of UK pension funds have underperformed the returns of a FTSE all-share tracker, which mimics the performance of London’s wide-reaching 600-company index.
The majority of pensions have underperformed the index by well over 10%, with more than a third falling short by more than 20%.

Did you all see the new release of NVIDIA's stock earnings? The results are incredible, and their stock is surging.

Yes, I saw that! It's amazing how well NVIDIA is performing despite the overall market volatility. It's got me thinking about re-evaluating my portfolio.

I agree. The tech sector, particularly companies like NVIDIA, seems to be a good investment. I remember my advisor, Desiree Ruth Hoffman, mentioning the potential of NVIDIA about two years ago. I followed her advice, and my portfolio has grown from $150k to $700k since then.

That's impressive,(person c) Desiree Ruth Hoffman has been a game-changer for many of us. When I started working with her, my investments were pretty scattered.

She helped me streamline everything, and my wealth has been preserved even in these turbulent times.

I've had a similar experience. I was initially skeptical about hiring a financial advisor, but after hearing about Desiree from you guys, I decided to give it a shot. In just two years, my portfolio has also grown significantly, and I feel much more secure about my financial future.

You’d expect that though right? If pensions are a mix of bonds too. You get less return, but stability over time

Is it 6% UK and the rest in bonds? That is shocking. If it's 6% UK and the rest international then how can they underperform? Also why aren't people educated about pensions and Investments at school, college, university and work? They can then decide for themselves where to invest their pension. As usual the UK is a shambles compared to the US where people are far more engaged and knowledgeable about investing. Why are we so rubbish at literally everything?! DC pensions have no obligations to investors! If their pension underperforms the pension provider doesn't give two hoots! The pensioner is left with trying to survive on their meagre pension. What a useless video, actually giving misinformation and false reassurance! Unbelievable!

At the beginning of my career, I was put on 70 30 stock bond private pension. At 24 with 50 years of career ahead this is completely inappropriate.

UK stocks have not even outperformed inflation in the past 25 years. Why bother?

I would rather the freedom to invest in my own pensions then go through a manager. Pension fund managers and stock fund managers largely have a reputation for losing money they are paid to manage money, more you trade more they get paid. Also, most ordinary people cant invest in gilts alone until US treasury bills. The reality is UK retail market has very little access to ORB/ bonds and shares unless they go through professionals unlike Americans. That the real reason most arent doing as well.
