Niner RIP e9 e-mountain bike review

Niner just launched their first eMTBs, and we put the 150mm travel RIP e9 mountain bike through its paces on local trails and the new Kanuga Bike Park.
In this video, we show off the tech features and explain why they switched from their patented CVA suspension to a more common 4-bar Horst Link design.
We show how the bike handles the descents, drops, jumps and can still get playful on less aggressive singletrack. There's a bit of tuning advice for you, which helped us eliminate bottoming out and set things up for a great ride up and down the mountain.

I bought one of these last week. It is frickin awesome!!!! Yes it’s heavy but coming from a chromoly Hardtail and enduro back ground this bike rocks. I agree 100% about touring being an excellent level of boost. I never felt like I needed any more power over that setting.

How many miles are they going to have up there in Nc? I got 3 different #eMTBs I'm looking forward to testing out!

So the motor air intake vents are right at the bottom of the downtube where all of the dirt and dust just FLIES in from the front tire... me don't think so...

If you are bottoming out you need more spring rate, not less sag.

Rode both today. Preferred the Niner. The motor felt better to me

The Levo is industry standard at this point. All other bikes strive to be a Levo. Niner seems to be taking a different path, which is cool.

Why change the fork? You're no longer testing the bike as sold, especially a key component like the forks lol....

Niner changed the fork to the Zeb for retail after these preproduction bikes were tested. All of the bikes come with the Rockshox Zeb.
