This is bittersweet for me. I'm all for people's success. But I hate the fact that someone in his position gets rewarded for still living a life that is destructive to his community. He's got a clear opportunity to fully transition legit but still chooses not to. It reinforces that you can still do bad and be successful. The whole aim is that music should be a way out.. this just makes it seem okay to do both.. it's a spit in the face to the people trying to do things the right way. But no one can complain because this is the people's choice. Respect to his achievement.. but no respect to the lifestyle.
