Thank you so much. I’ve had an older Ninja for the last 3 years which only air fries but just upgraded to the 15 in 1. On the old Ninja, I microwaved them for about 10 minutes, then coated them with oil salt and pepper and put them in the air fryer for 10 minutes. My 14 year old loves them. But since the upgrade I knew the steam air fry would probably mean I could dispense with the microwave part but I’m not yet up to speed with the new steam air fry function. So your video told me everything I needed to know. Thank you xxxxxxx

Paula. I did them in my old ninja which didn’t have the steam air fry just the air fryer. If you have an air fryer, pop them in the microwave for about 10 minutes pricking them first and turning them over half way through. Then follow this tutorial from the part where she douses the skins in salt, pepper and oil and put in your air fryer for 10 minutes . I’ve been doing that for the last two years but just upgraded to the new Ninja which is why I came to check out how to do it with steam air fry .

I watched your video on my way home from work and cooked them as you suggested, (except my temp is 400° here in the US ) and OMG. That is the best potato I’ve personally ever baked. They were perfect and my hubby can’t get enough! How in the world does it make them so fluffy and crunchy! Amazing. Thanks for the idea😊

Good Afternoon, just got one of these 15 in 1 cookers and watched your jacket potato video. When you took them out did you just unlock and lift the lid or did you have to do anything else. i’m just thinking if steam air frying, don’t you have to release the steam before opening. I’m prob completely wrong but then this is all new to me. 😊
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Жыл бұрын
With steam you can just open the lid ..its only when using pressure cook that you have to release the pressure before opening

I used your method and they were the best tatties! Can I ask please, have you noticed any scratches / abrasions forming on the rim of both pots? (Ceramic and air fryer basket). I'm a little worried that over time, this will become worse. I've read reviews and a lot of folk have had to buy new pots due to coating peeling off the bottom. My machine is only a month old. 😑

Glad the potatoes worked . My pot has a couple of scratches - caused by me - the basket none . I did order a stainless steel inner pot from Amazon but it never arrived . My instant pot had a stainless steel inner and it was much better as it did not scratch at all
