This while game man. It was an amazing experience when I was a kid. I don't care what anyways says is the hardest boss, every boss in this game was hard for the moment in time you were. Every boss represented a new challenge and I loved being beaten up so I could learn how to beat them

Never played this one before but heard of it. Ninja Gaiden II (2008) took a lot from this I see. Well, NGII was in development when this came out. Nice that a few of the diaries Ryu finds in the latter references the events of Dragon Sword taking place 6 months prior.

Several names should be different: Skeleton Dragon -> Paz Zuu Rasetsu -> Black Spider Fiend or something since Rasetsu is a unique individual in NGII Vigoorian -> Vigoor Emperor Archfiend -> Dark Dragon

I Remember I played this so much and I have a little piece of memory of fighting some kind of clone of Ryu on a secundary quest platform, but I haven’t seen a single vid’ of that guy. It’s like no one ever fought him or at least uploaded a vid’ fighting him, but I know he exists.

15:48 Holy shit, I remember this so clearly. All the other bosses in the game were just reimaginings of the NGB bosses and then they drop Rasetsu on us with our ninpo already used up. I played this before NG2 and he wrecked me for like an hour and a half. Beating him felt amazing.

This game was one of the best games on DS no cap. I remember I was playing it and I got so mad and raged at it literally would throw the DS or just hit the screen. Amazing game tho. The only part I struggled with was the end part and the first boss at the forest of shadows. I even restarted the game a bunch of times to try to beat it but my technique was wrong. 10/10.

Kinda wish this was part of the Master Collection. But that certainly wouldn't work, as this game is wholly centered around the stylus only game play. It could have used a remake, but its literally Ninja Gaiden lite. The aesthetic they went with on the DS is great, and shouldn't be touched. Real cool gem on that handheld.

is it just me or was doku the easiest boss to kill? one art of the wind blades was enough to get his health down to half but even then, you didn’t need any ninpo to defeat him because of how easy his attacks were to dodge. me personally I killed him for the first time in about a minute or so, definitely the shortest boss fight I’ve ever done in my life
