Breaking down Trials techniques into words is actually harder than Trials itself...well done Oso.

One of the best trials tutorials I’ve ever seen, and on a topic that doesn’t get addressed enough. You deserve some serious props!

I never considered the "center of mass" or "throwing my weight forward"... I was literally trying to duplicate the motion (of track videos here on the tube) frustratingly, realizing that I was doing vertical climbs incorrectly... after seeing your video here i have begun to scale some short vertical walls persistently now. I was able to scale up to 80%/85% degree walls up until I saw your video (my throttle control was already improving but I was not shifting my center of mass with proper timing). I saw your video just a few days ago I have returned to tracks with times of 15/20 minutes and I have improved my times by 60% to 80% just from learning what you have shared here. Kudos man... now It's really getting fun because I am applying your techniques more effectively rather than "accidentally" or "brute force".

Thanks Oso, or bear in Spanish ;D, I was having a lot of trouble with verticals in Ninjas. I was thinking why, because I was easily able to do the vertical in Meteorain. This tutorial explained really well how to do verticals from different angles in Ninjas, and got me to realize that so much has to do with how you enter the vertical by shifting your weight.

i just got trials fusion yesterday and i finished all the extreme tracks with bronze except for inferno IV. I had to come to some of the walkthrough videos here to get through some of them though. finished rock of rages with 405 faults and 2 minutes left lol and same thing with frostbite i had over 400 faults when i finished. I just noticed this video was just uploaded and thought what a coincidence that i had been watching this channel now. It's nice to see you struggle on the ninja tracks btw fatshady because it shows that it really does take time to learn these things and its not just that either you can or you cant do it so i know eventually i will be able to do a lot better on the harder tracks too.

Great guide - very thorough in explaining how and why these mechanics work! As an idea/suggestion for the next one, I'm still having trouble with back wheel control in general, whether it's wheelies, stationary bunny hops or back wheel holds, or even performing a high-speed bounce off a back-wheel only platform to reach another platform. Cheers!

Thanks Oso and Pr. FatShady, this is a very good explanation of ninja techniques. I hope one day you explain the spiderman as well as the two others. This skill is so useful, but I can't understand how to do it.

Where did OSO Go?!
@eddieandersson55706 жыл бұрын
nope still can't do it as soon as I let go of the throttle and start applying it again I loose traction. I wish I had a visual que as to how much throttle I have applied at any given point. If anyone knows how to set that up in the editor, that'll be really good to have. And about the last parts here are the vertical 90 degrees? B/c I struggle to get up maybe 70-80 % incline?

@Poverty_Welder8 жыл бұрын
could you do a tutorial on how to do a front flip with out Going off a jump like on flat ground and what they are used for?
@Bor-de-knor8 жыл бұрын
+Alpha Texan The flat surface front flips are often used to fendergrab another surface. Easiest way to explain in tekst: Lean forward then go full throttle. When you get near the edge you want to reach you tap the break. Slightly after tapping the break you lean backwards, so you don't hit your head. While doing previous step, you also hit your throttle again, so your backwheel will stick to the other surface.Sometimes it gets used for fun by the pro ninjas on the end of a track.

Hey oso! How execlty do you become a ninja? Ive bewn trying to find videos but cant find any. Thanks if you respond!
@UniversityOfTrials6 жыл бұрын
Skrigler I'm starting to learn myself so I can say it's all practice. You just need to keep pushing yourself to get better every day. Push your limits every day. I did a week solid of ninjas and improved significantly.
@skrigler6 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Just gotta find some more teqnuieqs so i can finish a track, will a ninja track specify what level it is? Like lv1-2 etc.?
@UniversityOfTrials6 жыл бұрын
Skrigler no ninjas are determined by the community and there is always debate among the top riders. Check out Ninja Central website as it has a listing I think. If you focus on level 1 you'll be ok. My goal right now is level 1 under 100 faults. Sometimes repeating a track helps. I did "recovery point" in 271 faults then like 130 then 77 faults in my first 3 runs. So you learn to complete an obstacle and they get easier. See how you go.
