One has to appreciate the simplicity and ingenuity of these training methods. There is no rocket science behind these because they were developed by simple farmers, simple men of the land oppressed by feudal goons the samurais. One ponders to what degree were they tortured in their daily lives to resolve and be determined as well as believe in their simple training methods. These methods would have been so unconventional at that time. But only they laughed in the end thanks to their resolve and perseverance.

We may see & sense “some” things & aspects & teaching of this awesome life-saving & life-defending martial art, in this instructional video/Documentary….when & where legally deserved….yet the Ninja School is so wise in this presentation so as to not show much. These ancient technique(s) are so valueable & creative & fun, it was invigorating to see such thing, Ni’nj’s brilliant training method(s). So, we may witness some of such thing, yet perhaps a somewhat less than the full technique(s) shown here, for good EUD reason(s), for most of it, but enough to get the sense of it & the form(s) of it, a bit. It is so hard to earn such lesson(s), & for basically free is unheard of, always. So..there must be some payment for such good teaching, of course, always. The running to keep the traditional hat pinned to your front side is so fun, creative, & difficult lol. It trains in many things. Thank you for a potential glimpse….at the invisible.

so, to me, it seems they were more of a gymnastic / parkour skilled than anything else. as it was if they actually had to fight that indicated they got caught, there fore messed up in some way. Fighting wasn't at the top of the list for these guys, in truth, as I comprehend it. Their tasks were more of information gathering, espionage and infiltration.

Ninja was mostly farming. You would be like farmers and got info and sent it back to who you really worked for. Some assassinated but they worked as a peasant farmer for years being a sleeper cell in the employ of their target. Usually when they killed they had access to the target easily because they were trusted for years employed there. Which made it look like whoever killed them sneaked in and out like a ghost. But usually right under everyone's nose. Our governments do these tactics all the time. Those who had Ninja working for them probably help spread false rumors of the supernatural ghost like abilities of the Ninja creating overhype about their flashy weapons. Much like we would do to intimidate our enemies and spread false information. In which Ninja also helped to spread false information.

childhood, I've seen real ninja my country indonesian , it happened at 11:00 am in 1998, the ninja moves like a wizard in the movie ronin47. without shuriken. using a sickle and a katana sword ninja in my country , actually is a special force of assassins , and not civilians , but military . and the ninja troopers are undercover living in the health office. after many years, ninja 1998 , was revealed is the military operation code "Green Dragon" / "Naga Hijau". in my country Ninja is black magic, using "Siluman/Ifrit" Dragon . on the part of the PBNU civil forces using "Siluman/Ifrit" tiger / "macan". they fight with equal skill, but the 1998 ninja military force, if caught or defeated, military ninja will commit suicide note: ability of tiger ifrit / siluman , can split the tank on WW2 , only use rotan like sword but the ability to run is not as fast as a dragon ifrit / siluman . dragon ifrit / siluman / ayakashi can walk on walls like a gecko , walking on tree branches and leaves , ninjas have a unique sound when running as fast as lightning, like the sound of objects being moved quickly

Ninja’s knew how to fight. They trained in Taijutsu or Jūjutsu. They had to know how to fight in case they are caught. Also they were armed so obviously they trained in weapon arts. What you see on the video is merely just a few aspects of their training. Not all of it. Understand both Samurai and Ninja learned more than one combat martial art. Samurai trained in Jūjutsu for hand to hand, Kenjutsu for sword combat. Tanto Jutsu for knife combat. Bojutsu for staff or long range weapon combat. And various others. Same logic applies to Ninja. What they learn for spying and stealth, is just a separate thing. Doesn’t mean they don’t train in combat. They still learn combative martial arts along with their ninja training. Taijutsu was the hand to hand art of choice and they were armed with weapons. So weapon arts were included.

The word NINJA, loosely translate's to Assassin. No one Ninja can perform any and all of the various thing's that NINJA's are reported to entail. It's a physical impossibility to be able to do, carry, imploy any and all of the various weapon's, equipment, physical, and techniques; Associated with Ninja's by a lone Ninja. Those wealthy enough to afford the service's of one or more Ninja's. Either hired them on an individual bases or maintiained a few as they did other employee's. If and when a wealthy person, had an issue with another. They would send one or more to do their bidding, which then caused the one they had issue's with, various concern's in regards to the chaos and death's. They were informed to do by the one paying and send them on their various asignment's. Much in the same way, those that can afford it, will hire what's in the West, we refer to as a "Hitman". Whom based on the need's to carry out the asignment his/her employer desired. Would determine the best stratagy and either do it him/her self and or hire other's to assit them in the endevor. But the folklore of the Ninja, being able to do any and everything possible and impossible. Is just that, folklore.

In this day and age there’s still people that didn’t find out this depiction of ninjas is a pop culture invention from the 60s? Do we have ANY historical record mentioning that ninjas had ANYTHING to do with physical tasks, their made up weapons or the black suit? We have none. Someone claimed that’s what they did, and everyone jumped on board. Really…..
@CoolMrjames

If I remember correctly, the idea of the ninja wearing black comes from the Japanese "Noh" theatre with no curtains, where stagehands would be dressed in black to signify "ignore me, I'm not an actor" when they changed the set between acts. So when a dressed in black person "assassinated" an actor playing a Samurai it would be like WAIT AN INVISIBLE ATTACKER. This was observed by a French diplomat to Japan in the early 1800s who then wrote about "ninjas dress in black and are invisible assassins!" when really it represented the ninja being a Trusted Servant.

@@nimascolari1508 Certainly there's records of there being such beings as "Ninjas", yes. But to believe uncritically everything stated within... Is not historically based. The same issue occurrs with modern day troops. Do Navy SEALs exist? Yes, of course. But are they all 6-foot tall mountains with superb marksmanship, able to breathe underwater for 6 minutes at a time, able to run 50 miles a day with a comrade on their back, able to beat an entire bar's worth of rednecks in a bad mood? Whilst multiple books and films portray them that way, this doesn't mean that that's how they all are. Impressive? Sure. Superhuman? No.
@CoolMrjames
@CoolMrjames 11 ай бұрын
@@nimascolari1508 Which isn't to say the ninja didn't exist, or that they weren't very impressive. As a History Teacher, most of what's "known" about the ninja is Secondary or Tertiary Source, BUT the Martial Art of Ninjutsu/Shinobi acts as Primary Source, and it's different enough and precise enough when compared to Japanese Sumo and Jiu-jitsu to reason that one trained in it would have been a hell of a handful. Also, their tactic of "Get in, get out, fuck honour, disable anyone chasing you just get away safe" rattles armies with too-rigid rules.
