Great Italian singer Nino -- who worked out of France & sadly committed suicide in 1998. The man had talent in abundance. There are many Italian rock/pop singers who are incredible that are largely ignored yet, had wonderful long successful careers. Lucio Battisti, Franco Battiato & the incredible Milan-based Eugenio Finardi. Finardi scored with an all-English blues LP in Texas! "Anima Blues." His previous all-English rocker LP "Secret Streets," was masterful. The Hooters' Eric Bazilian even worked with him. Joni Mitchell's drummer Vinnie Colaiuta played for him. The music industry knows who this guy is. Though signed to Warner Bros., at one point they opted to not release Finardi in the largest English-speaking nation in the world. The prolific Finardi is fluent in Italian & English. No accent. Go figure. These men were all fabulous. Leave out a woman? Never. Milva -- who died a few weeks ago (April 23rd, 2021) was a legendary singer in Europe. Beautiful, exceptional voice, very long career. And in America? Who is she? We are the poorer for it. Just look at who the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is inducting now -- they have no clue who matters in that genre. They even ignored the Greek rock/ballader the late Demis Roussos (once part of the legendary band Aphrodites Child with Academy Award-winning composer Vangelis -- who recorded with Jon Anderson of Yes). As a solo artist Demis sold 60 million records worldwide. He sold out New York's Beacon Theater in the 70s. How did he do that if he's unknown? I guess he wasn't to many people. Once again American radio & media never presented these artists to the public here.
