Now I'm thinking about the concept of a somewhat messed up opposite kinda deal- Having it with at least two love interests *starting off* dating each other and unavailable until they break up. Set up so that you don't *have* to be the bad guy in the situation, because if you do nothing they break up on their own, and plus you can even influence them to work through the issue and stay together instead. But there still totally *is* also an option to be That Guy and break them up faster...

There's a mod for that, and you can choose what step are they on, if only dating or married, and if they have children or not, tho you have to manually delete the files of the couple where your selected npc is on, because at first I didn't and I had cut scenes where Seb was with Abby and I was like "Bro, I'm right here, stop cheating on me" lol

Honestly, Seb strikes me as gay. But Sam… I think he’s more bi leaning, like the right guy could have him act up. Abi though screams fem leaning bi girl. And I live for it. Edit: Alex is a closet jock to me. Like he only hangs out with Haley so it looks like he’s a Chad bro. But deep down he really wants to a boyfriend. Shane just wants to be loved and doesn’t care if it’s from a guy or girl. Emily strikes me as a soft lesbian. Penny is a super shy straight girl. But has nothing against lgbtq. There's another mod like that called Life cycle, it adds many Rival Hearts (that you can disable if you don't want that many), including Haley and Leah, never thought about this couple but it's cute In the mod. And there's other rival hearts mod with Alex and Jeric (an bachelor from the ridgerside village mod)

10:12 I can see penny being an unexpected ally, like sam goes to pick up his little brother and notices sam looking kinda of down. Then she passes by when sam, seb and abigail are hanging out and notices how sam looks at sebastian and goes "oh I see". Then slowly over time he opens to her about it like "so let's suppose I've got a guy friend who feels this way about his other guy friend". Then she becomes the person he sometimes goes to talk about his crush and ask for emotional advice. And she also talks about her mom. I love that this mod adds cutscenes just between the villagers without the player. Like, not just the romantic ones, but also cutscenes with Abigail and Leah. It actually makes the characters more like real people who have relationships and friendships with each other outside of the player.

This reminds me of Harvest Moon: Magical Melody where the marriage candidates will eventually marry other characters in town. It makes the town feel more dynamic and real when character relationships, romantic or otherwise, develop without player involvement.
