The fact that I am 42 years old and yearning the nostalgia of this game on the N64 is a testament to how groundbreaking and good this game was. Truly magnificent it was. Up until buying this game I'd been spoiled by constant play of Goldeneyex which I couldn't leave alone. Along came Zelda and boom here is the magic. 23 years later and this game reminds me of such good gameplay and escapism as a teenager

This was the main reason why I purchased a 3DS in early May... as well as some upcoming titles. I am blown away by the care taken to preserve the original's heart and soul while updating the graphics and interface to more modern standards... I savored this game for over a month, reliving my memories of the N64 original, and the ending feels as deserved as it did back then. A great game made better... when it was almost impossible to make better in the first place. Congratulations on doing so.

So I remember watching my older brother playing this game when we were kids. And I didn’t remember liking it because future Castle town scared me but because my brother was so into it I gave it more and more of a chance. So when we got to play Majoras mask I remember us printing out a walkthrough to find where are the fairies were, we went to twilight princess and I watched him again and we worked together to beat the game. Then on my birthday and Christmas I ended up getting enough money. And I spent it on a Black 3DS and the first game I got was Ocarina Of Time 3D and I’m proud of myself that I beat it the whole way through I’m glad my brother got his remake of his own with Majora’s mask. The series really brought us together I’m forever thankful for that

I never did get the game however I did end up getting some of other Zelda games on switch like BOTW and Link’s Awakening. Maybe one day when Nintendo puts Ocarina of Time on Switch Online or something I’ll try it then.

played this game when i was 13 in 1999.. No other game gave me so much feelings. After all this years the N64 cartridge no longer work, and now I can only remeber the great joy this game brought to me. And I start crying. :'(

@Frohstaruus its because the native resolution of the 3DS is lower than the resolution of the video so it makes it look like it lacks anti-aliasing but when its running on the 3DS screen it looks better.

Nintendo, please cast Yuri Lowenthal as Ocarina of Time Link (talkin' casually like Haseo), Faye Mata as Navi, Julie Ann Taylor as Ocarina of Time Zelda, Crispin Freeman as Ocarina of Time Ganondorf, Erica Mendez as Ocarina of Time Young Link, AND Carrie Savage as Ocarina of Time Young Zelda with the American accent, not the British accent. So, fer the Japanese version, please cast Mamoru Miyano as Ocarina of Time Link (talkin' casually like Mashima Taichi from Chihayafuru AND Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona 5), Eri Suzuki as Navi, Shizuka Ito as Ocarina of Time Zelda, Jouji Nakata as Ocarina of Time Ganondorf, Junko Takeuchi as Ocarina of Time Young Link, and Nana Mizuki as Ocarina of Time Young Zelda.

@Frohstaruus They revamped the textures, particles and everything so it uses more resources. It's a little hard from the trailer but there actually is AA in game which deactivates when you turn on 3D which makes everything look a lot more blocky than this. From what I've seen in other games it might have more to do with the technology used to make glassesless 3D than lack of processing power.

I was born in 1998 so I never really got to play the original ocarina of time on the n64 but I was able to download it on my wii virtual console but still something was missing and then in 2010 the remake was revealed I was super excited and was reading about the game everyday it was intense ! Such good times

@smashmeta18 Motion controls on the Vita go perfectly with the OLED. OLED gives the largest, clearest viewing angle of any screen technology in existence, working perfectly with the 1:1 motion control of the Vita. Tilt all you want, if there's even just a sliver of the screen visible you can see what's going on. The Vita's SmartAR technology doesn't require you to constantly point the cameras at an AR marker and it works perfectly with the social connectivity features of the Vita.

I've never played OOT on N64, but I think that it's really emotional to play the same storie with better graphics and controls. Absolutly BRILLIANT!

@FFFan3445 Your right, we are eating this up. The reason, because the meal we're having is one we've been eating for years now only this time with extra seasoning. The added bonus is that Nintendo can get Grezzo or another company to do the MM remake, like they did with Oot3Ds, while they work on the new Zelda title themselves. Think of these remakes as appetizers to a much better meal.

Man, this was the game that made me realize that video games were a form of art. The first game I ever played with a story. This trailer, with what is in my opinion the quintessential version of the Zelda theme, is what video games are about.

@smashmeta18 The Vita has a 5 inch OLED screen. Each individual pixel on an OLED screen produces its own light, giving the blackest blacks and the most clear and stunning color variety. The average HDTV has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, the Vita's OLED has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Its screen is thin, energy efficient and high resolution. The OLED is a multi-touch, capacitive screen and there's a rear touch pad for touch control without you having to cover up the screen with your hands.

@Juanpa935 its good that it has master quest too though for those who didnt preorder wind waker Espanol: es bueno que se ha Master Quest también, aunque para aquellos que no Wind Waker preorden
