Correction - Cubivore has doubled since Aug 2020 - Time just blurs together Do you think Gamecube prices will settle after this spike or will they spike even more by the end of the year?

I'm tempted to sell off my GameCube collection while it's high and use the cash to buy the stock market while it's down.

I absolutely refuse to pay the ridiculous, off the rails prices for retro-games. It's reaching borderline money-laundering territory in my opinion. That is why I swapped out the optical drive on my Gamecube for a GC Loader SD card reader.

Paid about $100 for Cubivore and a few years later bought GoGo Hypergrind for $11. While both great deals by todays standards i still can’t believe GoGo’s price. I am suprised how cheap TubeSlider is though give. It’s rarity and playability

Those GameCube games needs to get rereleased on the Nintendo Switch or any future Nintendo console.

With how the demand for Gamecube games are astronomically high, I hope Nintendo makes them available to the Switch so people can easily play without spending exuberants amount of money (or just sailing to the seas) Fortunally, I got some of the games in the list, such as Twilight Princess, Chibi Robo and Eternal Darkness, as well as some who weren't in the list, like the two Baten Kaitos games, so I hope I can get Geist as the game isnt' surprizingly expensive, despite it being an M-rated exclusive Gamecube game.

Still holding super smash melee. Never thought it was worth much when I found it in a trash pile in the country club of a house where people were evicted. Console, controllers, games. Great times

The 360 ports of the Sonic Adventure games are BC on all XBox One & Series models.

Sonic adventure two battle increase because of shadows appearance in the sonic the hedgehog 2 movie, That also goes with the shadow the hedgehog game as well which has also doubled

I gave it about 5 or so years from the start of all this before we start to see prices go back down to an acceptable level. It's just dumb to think because one person bought a game for a high price that others will follow, but sure enough, they do. I gave up on gamecube shortly after this all started. Never really cared for the console and was only buying games to justify me buying it years ago.

So when Gamestop made their last push into retro games right before the pandemic, there was a policy at their warehouse to throw out the manuals of the DVD-sized retro games (PS2, GC, OG XBox) because there were parts of the manuals to write notes and there was a fear that they would resell a game that somebody would’ve written sexist or racist notes in and they didn’t want the PR hit like in the past when they’ve resold DS and 3DS systems without taking out the SD card & there was bad content left on the system. I wonder if the influx of copies without manuals are some of these games bought from Gamestop before the pandemic and being flipped now that the prices have spiked?

I’d keep that GameCube if I were you. You are NOT going to be able to go back and play with these prices. I’m glad I’ve kept mine !

Oh wow I have an original gamecube with the portable pop-on screen and the car adapter with like 30 games :) Mario sunshine , Luigi's man chin , Mario kart double dash..... ETC.. I only payed very little back in the day for that. I like the system but never use it due to the switch and get to play most of the games on mine :)

I am glad I jailbreak my Wii. I am not paying a premium for these games.

Am surprised games like digimon rumble arena 2, Samurai jack shadow of aku and medabots infinity were not mentioned as those games started to get pricy

i dont even have words for it tbh. i grew up with a gamecube aswell, wondering if i had some parents-education compared to others but, i grew up learning a sense of value of certain things and and that money is expensive... even having the priviledge to getting a console for christmas was like hitting the lottery jackpot, owning like 1 or 2 games because i couldnt affort any so i had to rent games as a kid from other people. would i even think about buying a freaking 20 year old games for that much money... i think my mum would legit disinherit and exile me as a son. like how crazy do you need to be to pay these prices? like i m not even joking but paying that much for a 20 year old game for a console that wasnt even that popular back then makes me question if people should seek out for some professional help. its just ridiculous... growing up as an adult now you should have learned how to carefully use money and be much wiser than a 10 year old, yet you re acting like a child who get scammed without even realizing it. it makes me lose hope in humanity to be honest... One thing i regret is selling my GameCube collection that I own since it came out and recently got a GameCube for 20 bucks still had some games I kept, but damn trying to buy any games is almost impossible for me every game cost so damn much to the point that I’m just going to mod the GameCube there no way I can buy the games I’m looking for. I already dropped 100 on a seal copy of killer7 (which I did open). I own the Japanese version for a longtime and it’s far cheaper. Didn’t think GameCube was going to sky rocket like this, around my area there’s barely any GameCube stuff for sale it’s so hard to fine anything worth while. 😫

why choose og gamecube console over wii? you can do so much more with wii and wii is cheaper
