Mate, 3 things. First, disassemble the console and put just the shell out, covering the entire shell in the solution before wrapping it in cling film (you can end up with uneven colouring by doing only select parts). Second, leaving the console in it’s entirely outside is madness, you need sunlight and heat to trigger the chemical reaction in the solution, don’t expose those internals to outside temperatures even inside their shell. And third, you gave the process half an hour then said you’d wait another half hour then apply more solution? The process takes HOURS, you need to give it 4/6 hours, at least. Try using a UV light strip bath with foil (shiny side out) so you can do the process indoors.

Hi, would it also work with a 30 volume cream? Just in case, is there any chance it would damage/wipe off the logos or the writen text on a GameCube controller?

Great video but I'd highly recommend for anyone wanting to try this, to first take the consoles apart and only treat the plastic shell with the retrobrite to avoid damaging the internal components.

Would this also work with the rest of the shell? I have an old indigo GameCube and it basically looks dark blue. Would the salon care 40 help restore back to original color?

How do you even yellow the front plate? The slot B of my GameCube is like the orange of those badly yellowed Dreamcasts, but the front plate is okay.

Id recommend opening the system, its just 4 phillips screws.

To make it quicker instead of putting it in the sun you can put on under a UV light

All you need is UV lights and 12% H2O2 hydrogen peroxide
