11 ай бұрынHey guys! Just wanted to share my thoughts about Nintendo’s recent decision to REMASTER Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door (I can’t believe I just said that sentence😄). This has been en a long time coming and I’m super excited for its release next year! I know this is a little different than my typical video format, but I thought I’d try something different for this one. Hope you guy’s enjoy!

The original version of sticker star (which is called pm3da or pm4) wasn't a port of ttyd, it was a gane with tge original ttyd battle system, partners, original enemies like a fire koopa snake called mander, and original bosses like the mander kind who was likely. Skeleton brought back to life and the money mole king, a purple king mole

Sigeru Miyamoto wasn't the only person to ruin Paper Mario, he only said that it didn't need and that the characters and locations should all be stuff that we've seen already. Kensuke Tanabe was most likely involved in the downfall of the battle system and terrible puzzles that require the use of certain Things

color splash and thousand year door are my favorite mario games ever. i'm glad its getting remastered, and for color splash, we might have to wait a bit to see more from him.

While it might be true that Miyamoto asked for the 3ds game to be different than TTYD, its Kensuke Tanabe that is the responsible for the direction Paper Mario took starting Sticker Star. So Miyamoto isn't the only person you should blame for the decline of Paper Mario.

Yeah I was just gonna comment something along these lines, although I will add that Tanabe has had a hand in interfering with other Nintendo games as well (notably DKC Tropical Freeze where he was so overbearing as the producer at first that Nintendo had to remove him from working with the team at Retro all together)

Would you recommend playing the first paper Mario on the switch expansion?

Absolutely. Everything great about The Thousand Year Door is built off of the original (and in some aspects the original is slightly better, in my opinion). I think you’ll more fully appreciate everything TTYD has to offer if you experience the N64 Paper Mario first (it’s also my favorite game of all time so I might be a little biased lol).

Miyamoto likes story and is not the reason why Sticker star was bad. He was againgst the games changes when he saw them. Go watch Super MarioT's Miyamoto likes story video to see that bad wrong take debunked. Amazing video nonetheless man.

I hope we get a super remaster to with the same graphics and they can even reuse the same sprites if it makes it release quicker because super paper Mario aside from the battle system is as good as thousand Year door if not better in some ways and I think origami Kings mid reception is what's pushing Nintendo in this direction and I want to keep pushing them in this direction

I completely agree. Both Super Paper Mario and Origami King are incredibly underrated, in my opinion. If they were to just throw a little more content into Super (since it’s a good 5 hours shorter than N64 and TTYD) it would make an incredible remaster.

@@lemoncakestudios3031 my big issue with pmok is the history and the writing like wow toad 456 made a witty comment about paper for the 1 millionth time such good writing. Not to mention the countless shoving of them being paper Like I don't say I'm a 3d person so I make this 3d food that doesn't slip between my teeth because it's 3d hahaha.

And the boss battles are a joke like you really made an arts and craft bosses like that completely ruins the immersive experience pm gave you for P A P E R, they turned paper Mario into paper with Mario characters the Mario should overshadow the paper, think if how paper Mario came to be it's originally Mario story with paper style and ttyd takes a unique look that takes common sense and makes it unique doin something so simple

When my dad got me Paper Mario, (I think I was 4) I just wanted to play the game. There was a lot of text in the game and I would spam the skip. The text never ended. When I played the game I couldn’t figure out how to work and this was when my dad was teaching me how to play games on the NES and I was good at mario but paper mario was complicated for my brain. I gave up trying to figure out how to get through a door. 😂

When Color Splash came out in 2016, Nintendo producer Risa Tabata stated in an interview that they moved Paper Mario away from role playing because they also had the Mario & Luigi series. Pretty lame excuse!
